Psalms 72

سلیمان کا زبور۔ اے اللہ، بادشاہ کو اپنا انصاف عطا کر، بادشاہ کے بیٹے کو اپنی راستی بخش دے

Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

تاکہ وہ راستی سے تیری قوم اور انصاف سے تیرے مصیبت زدوں کی عدالت کرے۔

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

پہاڑ قوم کو سلامتی اور پہاڑیاں راستی پہنچائیں۔

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

وہ قوم کے مصیبت زدوں کا انصاف کرے اور محتاجوں کی مدد کر کے ظالموں کو کچل دے۔

He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

تب لوگ پشت در پشت تیرا خوف مانیں گے جب تک سورج چمکے اور چاند روشنی دے۔

They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

وہ کٹی ہوئی گھاس کے کھیت پر برسنے والی بارش کی طرح اُتر آئے، زمین کو تر کرنے والی بوچھاڑوں کی طرح نازل ہو جائے۔

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

اُس کے دورِ حکومت میں راست باز پھلے پھولے گا، اور جب تک چاند نیست نہ ہو جائے سلامتی کا غلبہ ہو گا۔

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

وہ ایک سمندر سے دوسرے سمندر تک اور دریائے فرات سے دنیا کی انتہا تک حکومت کرے۔

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

ریگستان کے باشندے اُس کے سامنے جھک جائیں، اُس کے دشمن خاک چاٹیں۔

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

ترسیس اور ساحلی علاقوں کے بادشاہ اُسے خراج پہنچائیں، سبا اور سِبا اُسے باج پیش کریں۔

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

تمام بادشاہ اُسے سجدہ کریں، سب اقوام اُس کی خدمت کریں۔

Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

کیونکہ جو ضرورت مند مدد کے لئے پکارے اُسے وہ چھٹکارا دے گا، جو مصیبت میں ہے اور جس کی مدد کوئی نہیں کرتا اُسے وہ رِہائی دے گا۔

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

وہ پست حالوں اور غریبوں پر ترس کھائے گا، محتاجوں کی جان کو بچائے گا۔

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

وہ عوضانہ دے کر اُنہیں ظلم و تشدد سے چھڑائے گا، کیونکہ اُن کا خون اُس کی نظر میں قیمتی ہے۔

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

بادشاہ زندہ باد! سبا کا سونا اُسے دیا جائے۔ لوگ ہمیشہ اُس کے لئے دعا کریں، دن بھر اُس کے لئے برکت چاہیں۔

And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

ملک میں اناج کی کثرت ہو، پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں پر بھی اُس کی فصلیں لہلہائیں۔ اُس کا پھل لبنان کے پھل جیسا عمدہ ہو، شہروں کے باشندے ہریالی کی طرح پھلیں پھولیں۔

There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

بادشاہ کا نام ابد تک قائم رہے، جب تک سورج چمکے اُس کا نام پھلے پھولے۔ تمام اقوام اُس سے برکت پائیں، اور وہ اُسے مبارک کہیں۔

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

رب خدا کی تمجید ہو جو اسرائیل کا خدا ہے۔ صرف وہی معجزے کرتا ہے!

Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

اُس کے جلالی نام کی ابد تک تمجید ہو، پوری دنیا اُس کے جلال سے بھر جائے۔ آمین، پھر آمین۔

And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

یہاں داؤد بن یسّی کی دعائیں ختم ہوتی ہیں۔
