Psalms 118

رب کا شکر کرو، کیونکہ وہ بھلا ہے، اور اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

اسرائیل کہے، ”اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔“

Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

ہارون کا گھرانا کہے، ”اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔“

Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

رب کا خوف ماننے والے کہیں، ”اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔“

Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

مصیبت میں مَیں نے رب کو پکارا تو رب نے میری سن کر میرے پاؤں کو کھلے میدان میں قائم کر دیا ہے۔

I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

رب میرے حق میں ہے، اِس لئے مَیں نہیں ڈروں گا۔ انسان میرا کیا بگاڑ سکتا ہے؟

The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

رب میرے حق میں ہے اور میرا سہارا ہے، اِس لئے مَیں اُن کی شکست دیکھ کر خوش ہوں گا جو مجھ سے نفرت کرتے ہیں۔

The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

رب میں پناہ لینا انسان پر اعتماد کرنے سے کہیں بہتر ہے۔

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

رب میں پناہ لینا شرفا پر اعتماد کرنے سے کہیں بہتر ہے۔

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

تمام اقوام نے مجھے گھیر لیا، لیکن مَیں نے اللہ کا نام لے کر اُنہیں بھگا دیا۔

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

اُنہوں نے مجھے گھیر لیا، ہاں چاروں طرف سے گھیر لیا، لیکن مَیں نے اللہ کا نام لے کر اُنہیں بھگا دیا۔

They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

وہ شہد کی مکھیوں کی طرح چاروں طرف سے مجھ پر حملہ آور ہوئے، لیکن کانٹےدار جھاڑیوں کی آگ کی طرح جلد ہی بجھ گئے۔ مَیں نے رب کا نام لے کر اُنہیں بھگا دیا۔

They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

دشمن نے مجھے دھکا دے کر گرانے کی کوشش کی، لیکن رب نے میری مدد کی۔

Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

رب میری قوت اور میرا گیت ہے، وہ میری نجات بن گیا ہے۔

The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

خوشی اور فتح کے نعرے راست بازوں کے خیموں میں گونجتے ہیں، ”رب کا دہنا ہاتھ زبردست کام کرتا ہے!

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

رب کا دہنا ہاتھ سرفراز کرتا ہے، رب کا دہنا ہاتھ زبردست کام کرتا ہے!“

The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

مَیں نہیں مروں گا بلکہ زندہ رہ کر رب کے کام بیان کروں گا۔

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

گو رب نے میری سخت تادیب کی ہے، اُس نے مجھے موت کے حوالے نہیں کیا۔

The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

راستی کے دروازے میرے لئے کھول دو تاکہ مَیں اُن میں داخل ہو کر رب کا شکر کروں۔

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:

یہ رب کا دروازہ ہے، اِسی میں راست باز داخل ہوتے ہیں۔

This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

مَیں تیرا شکر کرتا ہوں، کیونکہ تُو نے میری سن کر مجھے بچایا ہے۔

I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

جس پتھر کو مکان بنانے والوں نے رد کیا وہ کونے کا بنیادی پتھر بن گیا۔

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

یہ رب نے کیا اور دیکھنے میں کتنا حیرت انگیز ہے۔

This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

اِسی دن رب نے اپنی قدرت دکھائی ہے۔ آؤ، ہم شادیانہ بجا کر اُس کی خوشی منائیں۔

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

اے رب، مہربانی کر کے ہمیں بچا! اے رب، مہربانی کر کے کامیابی عطا فرما!

Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

مبارک ہے وہ جو رب کے نام سے آتا ہے۔ رب کی سکونت گاہ سے ہم تمہیں برکت دیتے ہیں۔

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

رب ہی خدا ہے، اور اُس نے ہمیں روشنی بخشی ہے۔ آؤ، عید کی قربانی رسّیوں سے قربان گاہ کے سینگوں کے ساتھ باندھو۔

God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

تُو میرا خدا ہے، اور مَیں تیرا شکر کرتا ہوں۔ اے میرے خدا، مَیں تیری تعظیم کرتا ہوں۔

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

رب کی ستائش کرو، کیونکہ وہ بھلا ہے اور اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
