Hebrews 10

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

شریعت موسی تصویر كاملی از حقایق آسمانی نبود، بلكه فقط از پیش دربارهٔ چیزهای نیكوی آینده خبر می‌داد. مثلاً سال به سال طبق شریعت همان قربانی‌ها را تقدیم می‌کردند ولی با این وجود، عبادت‌كنندگان نتوانستند به كمال برسند.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

اگر این عبادت‌كنندگان فقط یک‌بار از گناهان خود پاک می‌شدند، دیگر خود را گناهكار نمی‌دانستند و تمام این قربانی‌ها موقوف می‌شد.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

امّا در عوض این قربانی‌ها همه‌ساله گناهان آنها را به‌یادشان می‌آورد،

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

زیرا خون گاوها و بُزها هرگز نمی‌تواند گناهان را برطرف نماید.

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

به این جهت وقتی مسیح می‌‌خواست به جهان بیاید فرمود: «تو خواهان قربانی و هدیه نبودی. امّا برای من بدنی فراهم كردی.

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

از قربانی‌های سوختنی و قربانی‌های گناه خشنود نبودی.

Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

آنگاه گفتم ای خدا، من حاضرم و چنانکه در كتاب‌ تورات آمده است، من آمده‌ام تا ارادهٔ تو را بجا آورم.»

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

او اول می‌گوید: «خواهان قربانی و هدیه و قربانی‌های سوختنی و قربانی‌های گناه نبودی و از آنها خشنود نمی‌شدی.» (با وجود این كه اینها بر طبق شریعت تقدیم می‌شوند.)

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

آنگاه می‌گوید: «من آمده‌ام تا ارادهٔ تو را بجا آورم.» به این ترتیب خدا قربانی‌های پیشین را منسوخ نموده و قربانی مسیح را به جای آنها برقرار کرده است.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

پس وقتی عیسی مسیح ارادهٔ خدا را بجا آورد و بدن خود را یک‌بار و آن هم برای همیشه به عنوان قربانی تقدیم كرد، ما از گناهان خود پاک شدیم.

And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

هر كاهنی همه‌روزه پیش قربانگاه می‌ایستد و خدمت خود را انجام می‌دهد و یک نوع قربانی را مكرراً تقدیم می‌کند، قربانی‌‌ای كه هرگز قادر به بر طرف ساختن گناه نیست.

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

امّا مسیح برای همیشه یک قربانی به جهت گناهان تقدیم نمود و بعد از آن در دست راست خدا نشست.

From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

و در آنجا منتظر است تا دشمنانش پای‌انداز او گردند.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

پس او با یک قربانی، افرادی را كه خدا تقدیس می‌کند، برای همیشه كامل ساخته است.

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

در اینجا ما گواهی روح‌القدس را نیز داریم. او قبل از همه می‌گوید:

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

«این است پیمانی كه پس از آن زمان با آنان خواهم بست.» خداوند می‌فرماید: «احكام خویش را در دلهای آنان می‌گذارم و آنها را بر افكارشان خواهم نوشت.»

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

و بعد از آن می‌فرماید: «من هرگز گناهان و خطاهای آنان را به‌یاد نخواهم آورد.»

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

پس وقتی این گناهان آمرزیده شده‌اند دیگر نیازی به قربانی گناه نیست.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

پس ای دوستان، ما به وسیلهٔ خون عیسی مسیح اجازه یافته‌ایم كه با شهامت

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

از راه تازه و زنده‌ای كه مسیح از میان پرده به روی ما باز كرده است، یعنی به وسیلهٔ بدن خود، به مقدّس‌ترین مکان وارد شویم.

And having an high priest over the house of God;

چون ما كاهن بزرگی داریم كه بر خاندان خدا گمارده شده است،

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

از صمیم قلب و از روی ایمان كامل دلهای خود را از اندیشه‌های گناه‌آلود پاک ساخته و بدنهایمان را با آب خالص بشوییم و به حضور خدا بیاییم.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

امیدی را كه به آن معترفیم محكم نگاه داریم، زیرا او كه به ما وعده داده است، به وعده‌های خود وفا می‌کند.

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

برای پیشی جستن در محبّت و کارهای نیكو یكدیگر را تشویق كنیم.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

از جمع‌شدن با یکدیگر در مجالس كلیسایی غفلت نكنیم چنانکه بعضی‌ها به این عادت کرده‌اند؛ بلكه باید یكدیگر را بیشتر تشویق نماییم، مخصوصاً در این زمان كه روز خداوند نزدیک می‌شود.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

زیرا اگر ما پس از شناخت كامل حقیقت، عمداً به گناه خود ادامه دهیم، دیگر هیچ قربانی‌ای برای گناهان ما باقی نمی‌ماند!

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

بلكه فقط دورنمای وحشتناک روز داوری و خشم مهلک الهی كه دشمنان خدا را می‌سوزاند، در انتظار ماست.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

اگر كسی به شریعت موسی بی‌اعتنایی می‌کرد، بدون ترحّم به گواهی دو یا سه شاهد كشته می‌شد.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

پس اگر كسی پسر خدا را تحقیر نموده و خونی را كه پیمان بین خدا و انسان را اعتبار بخشیده و او را از گناهانش پاک ساخته است، ناچیز شمارد و به روح پرفیض خدا اهانت نماید، با چه كیفر شدیدتری روبه‌رو خواهد شد!

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

زیرا ما می‌دانیم چه کسی گفت: «انتقام از آن من است، من تلافی خواهم كرد.» و «خداوند قوم خود را داوری خواهد نمود.»

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

چه هولناک و مخوف است افتادن در دستهای خدای زنده!

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

شما باید زمان گذشته را به‌یاد آورید: وقتی که تازه به نور الهی منوّر شدید و متحمّل رنجهای عظیم گشتید و استوار ماندید.

Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

شما بارها در معرض اهانت و بدرفتاری قرار گرفتید و گاهی با کسانی‌که چنین بدیها را می‌دیدند شریک و سهیم بودید.

For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

شما با زندانیان هم درد بودید و وقتی اموال شما را بزور می‌گرفتند، با خوشرویی آن را قبول می‌کردید چون می‌دانستید كه صاحب چیزی هستید كه بمراتب بهتر بوده و تا به ابد باقی می‌ماند.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

بنابراین اعتماد خود را از دست ندهید، زیرا پاداش بزرگی به همراه خواهد داشت.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

شما به صبر بیشتری احتیاج دارید تا ارادهٔ خدا را انجام داده، بركات موعود را به دست آورید.

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

چنانچه کتاب‌مقدّس می‌گوید: «دیگر طولی نخواهد كشید و آنکه قرار است بیاید، خواهد آمد و درنگ نخواهد كرد.»

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

«شخص نیكو به وسیلهٔ ایمان زندگی خواهد كرد، امّا اگر كسی از من روی‌گردان شود، از او خشنود نخواهم بود.»

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

ولی ما جزء آنان نیستیم كه روی‌گردان شده و هلاک می‌شوند. ما ایمان داریم و این ایمان منجر به نجات جانهای ما خواهد شد.
