O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

Halleluja! Tak Herren, thi han er god, thi hans miskundhed varer evindelig.

Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Israel sige: "Thi hans miskundhed varer evindelig!"

Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Arons Hus sige: "Thi hans Miskundhed varer evindelig!"

Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

De, som frygter HERREN, sige: "Thi hans Miskundhed varer evindelig!"

I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

Jeg påkaldte HERREN i Trængslen, HERREN svared og førte mig ud i åbent Land.

The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

Hårdt blev jeg ramt, så jeg faldt, men HERREN hjalp mig.

The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

Min Styrke og Lovsang er HERREN, han blev mig til Frelse.

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

Jubel og Sejrsråb lyder i de retfærdiges Telte: "HERRENs højre øver Vælde,

The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

HERRENs højre er løftet, HERRENs højre øver Vælde!"

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

Jeg skal ikke dø, men leve og kundgøre HERRENs Gerninger.

The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

HERREN tugted mig hårdt, men gav mig ej hen i Døden.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:

Oplad mig Retfærdigheds Porte, ad dem går jeg ind og lovsynger HERREN!

This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

Her er HERRENs Port, ad den går retfærdige ind.

I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

Jeg vil takke dig, thi du bønhørte mig, og du blev mig til Frelse.

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Den Sten; Bygmestrene forkastede, er blevet Hovedhjørnesten.

This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

Fra HERREN er dette kommet, det er underfuldt for vore Øjne.

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Denne er Dagen, som HERREN har gjort, lad os juble og glæde os på den!

Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

Ak, HERRE, frels dog, ak, HERRE; lad det dog lykkes!

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

Velsignet den, der kommer, i HERRENs Navn; vi velsigner eder fra HERRENs Hus!

God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

HERREN er Gud, og han lod det lysne for os. Festtoget med Grenene slynge sig frem, til Alterets Horn er nået!

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

Du er min Gud, jeg vil takke dig, min Gud, jeg vil ophøje dig!
