Mark 5

پھر وہ جھیل کے پار گراسا کے علاقے میں پہنچے۔

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

جب عیسیٰ کشتی سے اُترا تو ایک آدمی جو ناپاک روح کی گرفت میں تھا قبروں میں سے نکل کر عیسیٰ کو ملا۔

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

یہ آدمی قبروں میں رہتا اور اِس نوبت تک پہنچ گیا تھا کہ کوئی بھی اُسے باندھ نہ سکتا تھا، چاہے اُسے زنجیروں سے بھی باندھا جاتا۔

Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

اُسے بہت دفعہ بیڑیوں اور زنجیروں سے باندھا گیا تھا، لیکن جب بھی ایسا ہوا تو اُس نے زنجیروں کو توڑ کر بیڑیوں کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دیا تھا۔ کوئی بھی اُسے کنٹرول نہیں کر سکتا تھا۔

Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

دن رات وہ چیخیں مار مار کر قبروں اور پہاڑی علاقے میں گھومتا پھرتا اور اپنے آپ کو پتھروں سے زخمی کر لیتا تھا۔

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

عیسیٰ کو دُور سے دیکھ کر وہ دوڑا اور اُس کے سامنے منہ کے بل گرا۔

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

وہ زور سے چیخا، ”اے عیسیٰ اللہ تعالیٰ کے فرزند، میرا آپ کے ساتھ کیا واسطہ ہے؟ اللہ کے نام میں آپ کو قَسم دیتا ہوں کہ مجھے عذاب میں نہ ڈالیں۔“

And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

کیونکہ عیسیٰ نے اُسے کہا تھا، ”اے ناپاک روح، آدمی میں سے نکل جا!“

For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

پھر عیسیٰ نے پوچھا، ”تیرا نام کیا ہے؟“ اُس نے جواب دیا، ”لشکر، کیونکہ ہم بہت سے ہیں۔“

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

اور وہ بار بار منت کرتا رہا کہ عیسیٰ اُنہیں اِس علاقے سے نہ نکالے۔

And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

اُس وقت قریب کی پہاڑی پر سؤروں کا بڑا غول چر رہا تھا۔

Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

بدروحوں نے عیسیٰ سے التماس کی، ”ہمیں سؤروں میں بھیج دیں، ہمیں اُن میں داخل ہونے دیں۔“

And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

اُس نے اُنہیں اجازت دی تو بدروحیں اُس آدمی میں سے نکل کر سؤروں میں جا گھسیں۔ اِس پر پورے غول کے تقریباً 2,000 سؤر بھاگ بھاگ کر پہاڑی کی ڈھلان پر سے اُترے اور جھیل میں جھپٹ کر ڈوب مرے۔

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

یہ دیکھ کر سؤروں کے گلہ بان بھاگ گئے۔ اُنہوں نے شہر اور دیہات میں اِس بات کا چرچا کیا تو لوگ یہ معلوم کرنے کے لئے کہ کیا ہوا ہے اپنی جگہوں سے نکل کر عیسیٰ کے پاس آئے۔

And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

اُس کے پاس پہنچے تو وہ آدمی ملا جس میں پہلے بدروحوں کا لشکر تھا۔ اب وہ کپڑے پہنے وہاں بیٹھا تھا اور اُس کی ذہنی حالت ٹھیک تھی۔ یہ دیکھ کر وہ ڈر گئے۔

And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

جنہوں نے سب کچھ دیکھا تھا اُنہوں نے لوگوں کو بتایا کہ بدروح گرفتہ آدمی اور سؤروں کے ساتھ کیا ہوا ہے۔

And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

پھر لوگ عیسیٰ کی منت کرنے لگے کہ وہ اُن کے علاقے سے چلا جائے۔

And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

عیسیٰ کشتی پر سوار ہونے لگا تو بدروحوں سے آزاد کئے گئے آدمی نے اُس سے التماس کی، ”مجھے بھی اپنے ساتھ جانے دیں۔“

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

لیکن عیسیٰ نے اُسے ساتھ جانے نہ دیا بلکہ کہا، ”اپنے گھر واپس چلا جا اور اپنے عزیزوں کو سب کچھ بتا جو رب نے تیرے لئے کیا ہے، کہ اُس نے تجھ پر کتنا رحم کیا ہے۔“

Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

چنانچہ آدمی چلا گیا اور دکپلس کے علاقے میں لوگوں کو بتانے لگا کہ عیسیٰ نے میرے لئے کیا کچھ کیا ہے۔ اور سب حیرت زدہ ہوئے۔

And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

عیسیٰ نے کشتی میں بیٹھے جھیل کو دوبارہ پار کیا۔ جب دوسرے کنارے پہنچا تو ایک ہجوم اُس کے گرد جمع ہو گیا۔ وہ ابھی جھیل کے پاس ہی تھا

And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

کہ مقامی عبادت خانے کا ایک راہنما اُس کے پاس آیا۔ اُس کا نام یائیر تھا۔ عیسیٰ کو دیکھ کر وہ اُس کے پاؤں میں گر گیا

And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

اور بہت منت کرنے لگا، ”میری چھوٹی بیٹی مرنے والی ہے، براہِ کرم آ کر اُس پر اپنے ہاتھ رکھیں تاکہ وہ شفا پا کر زندہ رہے۔“

And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

چنانچہ عیسیٰ اُس کے ساتھ چل پڑا۔ ایک بڑی بھیڑ اُس کے پیچھے لگ گئی اور لوگ اُسے گھیر کر ہر طرف سے دبانے لگے۔

And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

ہجوم میں ایک عورت تھی جو بارہ سال سے خون بہنے کے مرض سے رِہائی نہ پا سکی تھی۔

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

بہت ڈاکٹروں سے اپنا علاج کروا کروا کر اُسے کئی طرح کی مصیبت جھیلنی پڑی تھی اور اِتنے میں اُس کے تمام پیسے بھی خرچ ہو گئے تھے۔ توبھی کوئی فائدہ نہ ہوا تھا بلکہ اُس کی حالت مزید خراب ہوتی گئی۔

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

عیسیٰ کے بارے میں سن کر وہ بھیڑ میں شامل ہو گئی تھی۔ اب پیچھے سے آ کر اُس نے اُس کے لباس کو چھوا،

When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

کیونکہ اُس نے سوچا، ”اگر مَیں صرف اُس کے لباس کو ہی چھو لوں تو مَیں شفا پا لوں گی۔“

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

خون بہنا فوراً بند ہو گیا اور اُس نے اپنے جسم میں محسوس کیا کہ مجھے اِس اذیت ناک حالت سے رِہائی مل گئی ہے۔

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

لیکن اُسی لمحے عیسیٰ کو خود محسوس ہوا کہ مجھ میں سے توانائی نکلی ہے۔ اُس نے مُڑ کر پوچھا، ”کس نے میرے کپڑوں کو چھوا ہے؟“

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

اُس کے شاگردوں نے جواب دیا، ”آپ خود دیکھ رہے ہیں کہ ہجوم آپ کو گھیر کر دبا رہا ہے۔ تو پھر آپ کس طرح پوچھ سکتے ہیں کہ کس نے مجھے چھوا؟“

And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

لیکن عیسیٰ اپنے چاروں طرف دیکھتا رہا کہ کس نے یہ کیا ہے۔

And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

اِس پر وہ عورت یہ جان کر کہ میرے ساتھ کیا ہوا ہے خوف کے مارے لرزتی ہوئی اُس کے پاس آئی۔ وہ اُس کے سامنے گر پڑی اور اُسے پوری حقیقت کھول کر بیان کی۔

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

عیسیٰ نے اُس سے کہا، ”بیٹی، تیرے ایمان نے تجھے بچا لیا ہے۔ سلامتی سے جا اور اپنی اذیت ناک حالت سے بچی رہ۔“

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

عیسیٰ نے یہ بات ابھی ختم نہیں کی تھی کہ عبادت خانے کے راہنما یائیر کے گھر کی طرف سے کچھ لوگ پہنچے اور کہا، ”آپ کی بیٹی فوت ہو چکی ہے، اب اُستاد کو مزید تکلیف دینے کی کیا ضرورت؟“

While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

اُن کی یہ بات نظرانداز کر کے عیسیٰ نے یائیر سے کہا، ”مت گھبراؤ، فقط ایمان رکھو۔“

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

پھر عیسیٰ نے ہجوم کو روک لیا اور صرف پطرس، یعقوب اور اُس کے بھائی یوحنا کو اپنے ساتھ جانے کی اجازت دی۔

And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

جب عبادت خانے کے راہنما کے گھر پہنچے تو وہاں بڑی افرا تفری نظر آئی۔ لوگ خوب گریہ و زاری کر رہے تھے۔

And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

اندر جا کر عیسیٰ نے اُن سے کہا، ”یہ کیسا شور شرابہ ہے؟ کیوں رو رہے ہو؟ لڑکی مر نہیں گئی بلکہ سو رہی ہے۔“

And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

لوگ ہنس کر اُس کا مذاق اُڑانے لگے۔ لیکن اُس نے سب کو باہر نکال دیا۔ پھر صرف لڑکی کے والدین اور اپنے تین شاگردوں کو ساتھ لے کر وہ اُس کمرے میں داخل ہوا جس میں لڑکی پڑی تھی۔

And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

اُس نے اُس کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر کہا، ”طلتھا قُوم!“ اِس کا مطلب ہے، ”چھوٹی لڑکی، مَیں تجھے حکم دیتا ہوں کہ جاگ اُٹھ!“

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

لڑکی فوراً اُٹھ کر چلنے پھرنے لگی۔ اُس کی عمر بارہ سال تھی۔ یہ دیکھ کر لوگ گھبرا کر حیران رہ گئے۔

And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

عیسیٰ نے اُنہیں سنجیدگی سے سمجھایا کہ وہ کسی کو بھی اِس کے بارے میں نہ بتائیں۔ پھر اُس نے اُنہیں کہا کہ اُسے کھانے کو کچھ دو۔

And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
