Job 37

Отож, і від цього тремтить моє серце і зрушилось з місця свого.

At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

Уважливо слухайте гук Його голосу, і грім, що несеться із уст Його,

Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

його Він пускає попід усім небом, а світло Своє аж на кінці землі.

He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

За Ним грім ричить левом, гримить гуком своєї величности, і його Він не стримує, почується голос Його.

After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

Бог предивно гримить Своїм голосом, вчиняє великі діла, яких не розуміємо ми.

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

До снігу говорить Він: Падай на землю! а дощеві та зливі: Будьте сильні!

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

Він руку печатає кожній людині, щоб пізнали всі люди про діло Його.

He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

І звір входить у сховище, і живе в своїх лігвищах.

Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

Із кімнати південної буря приходить, а з вітру північного холод.

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

Від Божого подиху лід повстає, і водна широкість тужавіє.

By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

Також Він обтяжує вільгістю тучу, і світло своє розпорошує хмара,

Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

і вона по околицях ходить та блукає за Його проводом, щоб чинити все те, що накаже Він їй на поверхні вселенної,

And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

він наводить її чи на кару для краю Свого, чи на милість.

He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

Бери, Йове, оце до ушей, уставай і розваж Божі чуда!

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

Чи ти знаєш, що Бог накладає на них, і заяснює світло із хмари Своєї?

Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

Чи ти знаєш, як носиться хмара в повітрі, про чуда Того, Який має безвадне знання,

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

ти, що шати твої стають теплі, як стишується земля з полудня?

How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

Чи ти розтягав із Ним хмару, міцну, немов дзеркало лите?

Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

Навчи нас, що скажем Йому? Через темність ми не впорядкуємо слова.

Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

Чи Йому оповісться, що буду казати? Чи зміг хто сказати, що Він знищений буде?

Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

І тепер ми не бачимо світла, щоб світило у хмарах, та вітер перейде і вичистить їх.

And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

Із півночі приходить воно, немов золото те, та над Богом величність страшна.

Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

Всемогутній, Його не знайшли ми, Він могутній у силі, але Він не мучить нікого судом та великою правдою.

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

Тому нехай люди бояться Його, бо на всіх мудросердих не дивиться Він.

Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
