Nehemiah 7

Ora, depois que o muro foi edificado, tendo eu assentado as portas, e havendo sido designados os porteiros, os cantores e os levitas,

Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

pus Hanâni, meu irmão, e Hananias, governador do castelo, sobre Jerusalém; pois ele era homem fiel e temente a Deus, mais do que muitos;

That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.

e eu lhes disse: Não se abram as portas de Jerusalém até que o sol aqueça; e enquanto os guardas estiverem nos postos se fechem e se tranquem as portas; e designei dentre os moradores de Jerusalém guardas, cada um por seu turno, e cada um diante da sua casa.

And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

Ora, a cidade era larga e grande, mas o povo dentro dela era pouco, e ainda as casa não estavam edificadas.

Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.

Então o meu Deus me pôs no coração que ajuntasse os nobres, os magistrados e o povo, para registrar as genealogias. E achei o livro da genealogia dos que tinham subido primeiro e achei escrito nele o seguinte:

And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,

Este são os filhos da província que subiram do cativeiro dentre os exilados, que Nabucodonozor, rei da Babilônia, transportara e que voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade,

These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;

os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesuá, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamâni, Mardoqueu, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum e Baaná. Este é o número dos homens do povo de Israel:

Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;

foram os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois;

The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.

os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois;

The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.

os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinquenta e dois;

The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.

os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e de Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e dezoito;

The children of Pahath–moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.

os filhos de Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro;

The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

os filhos de Zatu, oitocentos e quarenta e cinco;

The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.

os filhos de Zacai, setecentos e sessenta;

The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.

os filhos de Binuí, seiscentos e quarenta e oito;

The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.

os filhos de Bebai, seiscentos e vinte e oito;

The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.

os filhos de Azgade, dois mil trezentos e vinte e dois;

The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.

os filhos de Adonicão, seiscentos e sessenta e sete;

The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.

os filhos de Bigvai, dois mil e sessenta e sete;

The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.

os filhos de Adim, seiscentos e cinquenta e cinco;

The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.

os filhos de Ater, de Ezequias, noventa e oito;

The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.

os filhos de Hasum, trezentos e vinte e oito;

The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.

os filhos de Bezai, trezentos e vinte e quatro;

The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.

os filhos de Harife, cento e doze;

The children of Hariph, an hundred and twelve.

os filhos de Gibeão, noventa e cinco;

The children of Gibeon, ninety and five.

os filhos de Belém e de Netofá, cento e oitenta e oito;

The men of Beth–lehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.

os homens de Anatote, cento e vinte e oito;

The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.

os homens de Bete-Azmavete, quarenta e dois;

The men of Beth–azmaveth, forty and two.

os homens de Quiriate-Jeriam, de Cefira, e de Beerote, setecentos e quarenta e três;

The men of Kirjath–jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.

os homens de Ramá e Gaba, seiscentos e vinte e um;

The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one.

os homens de Micmás, cento e vinte e dois;

The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.

os homens de Betel e Ai, cento e vinte e três;

The men of Beth–el and Ai, an hundred twenty and three.

os homens do outro Nebo, cinquenta e dois;

The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.

os filhos do outro Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro;

The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

os filhos de Harim, trezentos e vinte;

The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.

os filhos de Jericó, trezentos e quarenta e cinco;

The children of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.

os filhos de Lode, de hadide e de Ono, setecentos e vinte e um;

The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one.

os filhos de Senaá, três mil novecentos e trinta.

The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.

Os sacerdotes: os filhos de Jedaías, da casa de Jesuá, novecentos e setenta e três;

The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.

os filhos de Imer, mil e cinquenta e dois;

The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.

os filhos de Pasur, mil duzentos e quarenta e sete;

The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.

os filhos de Harim, mil e dezessete;

The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.

Os levitas: os filhos de Jesuá, de Cadmiel, dos filhos de Hodevá, setenta e quatro.

The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.

Os cantores: os filhos de Asafe, cento e quarenta e oito.

The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.

Os porteiros: os filhos de Salum, os filhos de Ater, os filhos de Talmom, os filhos de Acube, os filhos de Hatita, os filhos de Sobai, cento e trinta e oito.

The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.

Os netinis: os filhos de Ziá, os filhos de Hasufa, os filhos de Tabaote,

The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,

os filhos de Querós, os filhos de Siá, os filhos de Padom,

The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,

os filhos de Lebana, os filhos de Hagaba, os filhos de Salmai,

The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,

os filhos de Hanã, os filhos de Gidel, os filhos de Gaar,

The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,

os filhos de Recaías, os filhos de Rezim, os filhos de Necoda,

The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,

os filhos de Gazão, os filhos de Uzá, os filhos de Paséia,

The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,

os filhos de Besai, os filhos de Meunim, os filhos de Nefusesim,

The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,

os filhos de Baquebuque, os filhos de Hacufa, os filhos de Hacur,

The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,

os filhos de Bazlite, os filhos de Meída, os filhos de Harsa,

The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,

os filhos de Barcos, os filhos de Sísera, os filhos de Tamá,

The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,

os filhos de Nezias, os filhos de Hatifa,

The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.

os filhos dos servos de Salomão: os filhos de Sotai, os filhos de Soforete, os filhos de Perida,

The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,

os filhos de Jaala, os filhos de Darcom, os filhos de Gidel,

The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,

os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Paquerete-Hazebaim e os filhos de Amom.

The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.

Todos os netinins e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, eram trezentos e noventa e dois.

All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.

Estes foram os que subiram de Tel-Mela, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom, e Imer; porém não puderam provar que as suas casas paternas e as sua linhagem eram de Israel:

And these were they which went up also from Tel–melah, Tel–haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.

os filhos de Dalaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.

The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.

E dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Hobaías, os filhos Hacoz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tomara por mulher uma das filhas Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.

And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.

Estes buscaram o seu registro entre os arrolados nos registros genealógicos, mas não foi encontrado; pelo que, tidos por imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio.

These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

E o governador lhes disse que não comesse das coisas sagradas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote com Urim e Tumim.

And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.

Toda esta congregação junta somava quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta;

The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

afora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e tinham duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.

Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.

Os seus cavalos foram setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;

Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:

os seus camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; e os seus jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.

Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.

Ora, alguns dos cabeças das casas paternas contribuíram para a obra. O governador deu para a tesouraria mil dários de ouro, cinquenta bacias, e quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.

And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.

E alguns dos cabeças das casas paternas deram para a tesouraria da obra vinte mil dáricos de ouro, e duas mil e duzentas minas de prata.

And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.

O que o resto do povo deu foram vinte mil dáricos de ouro, duas mil minas de prata, e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.

And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.

Os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, alguns dentre o povo, os netinins e todo o Israel habitaram nas suas cidades. Quando chegou o sétimo mês, já se achavam os filhos de Israel nas suas cidades.

So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
