Psalms 34

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

داؤد کا یہ زبور اُس وقت سے متعلق ہے جب اُس نے فلستی بادشاہ ابی مَلِک کے سامنے پاگل بننے کا روپ بھر لیا۔ یہ دیکھ کر بادشاہ نے اُسے بھگا دیا۔ چلے جانے کے بعد داؤد نے یہ گیت گایا۔ ہر وقت مَیں رب کی تمجید کروں گا، اُس کی حمد و ثنا ہمیشہ ہی میرے ہونٹوں پر رہے گی۔

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

میری جان رب پر فخر کرے گی۔ مصیبت زدہ یہ سن کر خوش ہو جائیں۔

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

آؤ، میرے ساتھ رب کی تعظیم کرو۔ آؤ، ہم مل کر اُس کا نام سربلند کریں۔

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

مَیں نے رب کو تلاش کیا تو اُس نے میری سنی۔ جن چیزوں سے مَیں دہشت کھا رہا تھا اُن سب سے اُس نے مجھے رِہائی دی۔

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

جن کی آنکھیں اُس پر لگی رہیں وہ خوشی سے چمکیں گے، اور اُن کے منہ شرمندہ نہیں ہوں گے۔

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

اِس ناچار نے پکارا تو رب نے اُس کی سنی، اُس نے اُسے اُس کی تمام مصیبتوں سے نجات دی۔

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

جو رب کا خوف مانیں اُن کے ارد گرد اُس کا فرشتہ خیمہ زن ہو کر اُن کو بچائے رکھتا ہے۔

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

رب کی بھلائی کا تجربہ کرو۔ مبارک ہے وہ جو اُس میں پناہ لے۔

O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

اے رب کے مُقدّسین، اُس کا خوف مانو، کیونکہ جو اُس کا خوف مانیں اُنہیں کمی نہیں۔

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

جوان شیرببر کبھی ضرورت مند اور بھوکے ہوتے ہیں، لیکن رب کے طالبوں کو کسی بھی اچھی چیز کی کمی نہیں ہو گی۔

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

اے بچو، آؤ، میری باتیں سنو! مَیں تمہیں رب کے خوف کی تعلیم دوں گا۔

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

کون مزے سے زندگی گزارنا اور اچھے دن دیکھنا چاہتا ہے؟

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

وہ اپنی زبان کو شریر باتیں کرنے سے روکے اور اپنے ہونٹوں کو جھوٹ بولنے سے۔

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

وہ بُرائی سے منہ پھیر کر نیک کام کرے، صلح سلامتی کا طالب ہو کر اُس کے پیچھے لگا رہے۔

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

رب کی آنکھیں راست بازوں پر لگی رہتی ہیں، اور اُس کے کان اُن کی التجاؤں کی طرف مائل ہیں۔

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

لیکن رب کا چہرہ اُن کے خلاف ہے جو غلط کام کرتے ہیں۔ اُن کا زمین پر نام و نشان تک نہیں رہے گا۔

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

جب راست باز فریاد کریں تو رب اُن کی سنتا، وہ اُنہیں اُن کی تمام مصیبت سے چھٹکارا دیتا ہے۔

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

رب شکستہ دلوں کے قریب ہوتا ہے، وہ اُنہیں رِہائی دیتا ہے جن کی روح کو خاک میں کچلا گیا ہو۔

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

راست باز کی متعدد تکالیف ہوتی ہیں، لیکن رب اُسے اُن سب سے بچا لیتا ہے۔

He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

وہ اُس کی تمام ہڈیوں کی حفاظت کرتا ہے، ایک بھی نہیں توڑی جائے گی۔

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

بُرائی بےدین کو مار ڈالے گی، اور جو راست باز سے نفرت کرے اُسے مناسب اجر ملے گا۔

The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

لیکن رب اپنے خادموں کی جان کا فدیہ دے گا۔ جو بھی اُس میں پناہ لے اُسے سزا نہیں ملے گی۔
