I Chronicles 16

So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

اللہ کا صندوق اُس تنبو کے درمیان میں رکھا گیا جو داؤد نے اُس کے لئے لگوایا تھا۔ پھر اُنہوں نے اللہ کے حضور بھسم ہونے والی اور سلامتی کی قربانیاں پیش کیں۔

And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.

اِس کے بعد داؤد نے قوم کو رب کے نام سے برکت دے کر

And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

ہر اسرائیلی مرد اور عورت کو ایک روٹی، کھجور کی ایک ٹکی اور کشمش کی ایک ٹکی دے دی۔

And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:

اُس نے کچھ لاویوں کو رب کے صندوق کے سامنے خدمت کرنے کی ذمہ داری دی۔ اُنہیں رب اسرائیل کے خدا کی تمجید اور حمد و ثنا کرنی تھی۔

Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed–edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;

اُن کا سربراہ آسف جھانجھ بجاتا تھا۔ اُس کا نائب زکریاہ تھا۔ پھر یعی ایل، سمیراموت، یحی ایل، متِتیاہ، اِلیاب، بِنایاہ، عوبید ادوم اور یعی ایل تھے جو ستار اور سرود بجاتے تھے۔

Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

بِنایاہ اور یحزی ایل اماموں کی ذمہ داری اللہ کے عہد کے صندوق کے سامنے تُرم بجانا تھی۔

Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

اُس دن داؤد نے پہلی دفعہ آسف اور اُس کے ساتھی لاویوں کے حوالے ذیل کا گیت کر کے اُنہیں رب کی ستائش کرنے کی ذمہ داری دی۔

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

”رب کا شکر کرو اور اُس کا نام پکارو! اقوام میں اُس کے کاموں کا اعلان کرو۔

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

ساز بجا کر اُس کی مدح سرائی کرو۔ اُس کے تمام عجائب کے بارے میں لوگوں کو بتاؤ۔

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

اُس کے مُقدّس نام پر فخر کرو۔ رب کے طالب دل سے خوش ہوں۔

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

رب اور اُس کی قدرت کی دریافت کرو، ہر وقت اُس کے چہرے کے طالب رہو۔

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

جو معجزے اُس نے کئے اُنہیں یاد کرو۔ اُس کے الٰہی نشان اور اُس کے منہ کے فیصلے دہراتے رہو۔

O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

تم جو اُس کے خادم اسرائیل کی اولاد اور یعقوب کے فرزند ہو، جو اُس کے برگزیدہ لوگ ہو، تمہیں سب کچھ یاد رہے!

He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

وہی رب ہمارا خدا ہے، وہی پوری دنیا کی عدالت کرتا ہے۔

Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

وہ ہمیشہ اپنے عہد کا خیال رکھتا ہے، اُس کلام کا جو اُس نے ہزار پشتوں کے لئے فرمایا تھا۔

Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

یہ وہ عہد ہے جو اُس نے ابراہیم سے باندھا، وہ وعدہ جو اُس نے قَسم کھا کر اسحاق سے کیا تھا۔

And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

اُس نے اُسے یعقوب کے لئے قائم کیا تاکہ وہ اُس کے مطابق زندگی گزارے، اُس نے تصدیق کی کہ یہ میرا اسرائیل سے ابدی عہد ہے۔

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

ساتھ ساتھ اُس نے فرمایا، ’مَیں تجھے ملکِ کنعان دوں گا۔ یہ تیری میراث کا حصہ ہو گا۔‘

When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

اُس وقت وہ تعداد میں کم اور تھوڑے ہی تھے بلکہ ملک میں اجنبی ہی تھے۔

And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;

اب تک وہ مختلف قوموں اور سلطنتوں میں گھومتے پھرتے تھے۔

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

لیکن اللہ نے اُن پر کسی کو ظلم کرنے نہ دیا، اور اُن کی خاطر اُس نے بادشاہوں کو ڈانٹا،

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

’میرے مسح کئے ہوئے خادموں کو مت چھیڑنا، میرے نبیوں کو نقصان مت پہنچانا۔‘

Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

اے پوری دنیا، رب کی تمجید میں گیت گا! روز بہ روز اُس کی نجات کی خوش خبری سنا۔

Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

قوموں میں اُس کا جلال اور تمام اُمّتوں میں اُس کے عجائب بیان کرو۔

For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.

کیونکہ رب عظیم اور ستائش کے بہت لائق ہے۔ وہ تمام معبودوں سے مہیب ہے۔

For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

کیونکہ دیگر قوموں کے تمام معبود بُت ہی ہیں جبکہ رب نے آسمان کو بنایا۔

Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

اُس کے حضور شان و شوکت، اُس کی سکونت گاہ میں قدرت اور جلال ہے۔

Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

اے قوموں کے قبیلو، رب کی تمجید کرو، رب کے جلال اور قدرت کی ستائش کرو۔

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

رب کے نام کو جلال دو۔ قربانی لے کر اُس کے حضور آؤ۔ مُقدّس لباس سے آراستہ ہو کر رب کو سجدہ کرو۔

Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

پوری دنیا اُس کے سامنے لرز اُٹھے۔ یقیناً دنیا مضبوطی سے قائم ہے اور نہیں ڈگمگائے گی۔

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.

آسمان شادمان ہو، اور زمین جشن منائے۔ قوموں میں کہا جائے کہ رب بادشاہ ہے۔

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

سمندر اور جو کچھ اُس میں ہے خوشی سے گرج اُٹھے، میدان اور جو کچھ اُس میں ہے باغ باغ ہو۔

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

پھر جنگل کے درخت رب کے سامنے شادیانہ بجائیں گے، کیونکہ وہ آ رہا ہے، وہ زمین کی عدالت کرنے آ رہا ہے۔

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

رب کا شکر کرو، کیونکہ وہ بھلا ہے، اور اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔

And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

اُس سے التماس کرو، ’اے ہماری نجات کے خدا، ہمیں بچا! ہمیں جمع کر کے دیگر قوموں کے ہاتھ سے چھڑا۔ تب ہی ہم تیرے مُقدّس نام کی ستائش کریں گے اور تیرے قابلِ تعریف کاموں پر فخر کریں گے۔‘

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.

ازل سے ابد تک رب، اسرائیل کے خدا کی حمد ہو!“ تب پوری قوم نے ”آمین“ اور ”رب کی حمد ہو“ کہا۔

So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:

داؤد نے آسف اور اُس کے ساتھی لاویوں کو رب کے عہد کے صندوق کے سامنے چھوڑ کر کہا، ”آئندہ یہاں باقاعدگی سے روزانہ کی ضروری خدمت کرتے جائیں۔“

And Obed–edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed–edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:

اِس گروہ میں عوبید ادوم اور مزید 68 لاوی شامل تھے۔ عوبید ادوم بن یدوتون اور حوسہ دربان بن گئے۔

And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,

لیکن صدوق امام اور اُس کے ساتھی اماموں کو داؤد نے رب کی اُس سکونت گاہ کے پاس چھوڑ دیا جو جِبعون کی پہاڑی پر تھی۔

To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;

کیونکہ لازم تھا کہ وہ وہاں ہر صبح اور شام کو بھسم ہونے والی قربانیاں پیش کریں اور باقی تمام ہدایات پر عمل کریں جو رب کی طرف سے اسرائیل کے لئے شریعت میں بیان کی گئی ہیں۔

And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;

داؤد نے ہیمان، یدوتون اور مزید کچھ چیدہ لاویوں کو بھی جِبعون میں اُن کے پاس چھوڑ دیا۔ وہاں اُن کی خاص ذمہ داری رب کی حمد و ثنا کرنا تھی، کیونکہ اُس کی شفقت ابدی ہے۔

And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.

اُن کے پاس تُرم، جھانجھ اور باقی ایسے ساز تھے جو اللہ کی تعریف میں گائے جانے والے گیتوں کے ساتھ بجائے جاتے تھے۔ یدوتون کے بیٹوں کو دربان بنایا گیا۔

And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

جشن کے بعد سب لوگ اپنے اپنے گھر چلے گئے۔ داؤد بھی اپنے گھر لوٹا تاکہ اپنے خاندان کو برکت دے کر سلام کرے۔
