Nehemiah 7

Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

Αφου δε το τειχος εκτισθη, και εστησα τας θυρας, και διωρισθησαν οι πυλωροι και οι ψαλτωδοι και οι Λευιται,

That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.

προσεταξα περι της Ιερουσαλημ τον αδελφον μου Ανανι και τον Ανανιαν τον αρχοντα του φρουριου διοτι ητο ως ανθρωπος πιστος και φοβουμενος τον Θεον, υπερ πολλους.

And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

Και ειπα προς αυτους, Ας μη ανοιγωνται αι πυλαι της Ιερουσαλημ εωσου θερμανη ο ηλιος και εκεινων ετι παροντων, να κλειωνται αι θυραι και να ασφαλιζωνται και φυλακαι να διοριζωνται εκ των κατοικων της Ιερουσαλημ, εκαστος εν τη φυλακη αυτου και εκαστος απεναντι της οικιας αυτου.

Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.

Και η πολις ητο ευρυχωρος και μεγαλη, ο δε λαος ολιγος εν αυτη, και οικιαι δεν ησαν ωκοδομημεναι.

And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,

Και εβαλεν ο Θεος μου εν τη καρδια μου να συναξω τους προκριτους και τους προεστωτας και τον λαον, δια να αριθμηθωσι κατα γενεαλογιαν. Και ευρηκα βιβλιον της γενεαλογιας εκεινων, οιτινες ανεβησαν κατ αρχας και ευρηκα γεγραμμενον εν αυτω.

These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;

Ουτοι ειναι οι ανθρωποι της επαρχιας, οι αναβαντες εκ της αιχμαλωσιας, εκ των μετοικισθεντων, τους οποιους μετωκισε Ναβουχοδονοσορ ο βασιλευς της Βαβυλωνος, και επιστρεψαντες εις Ιερουσαλημ και εις την Ιουδαιαν, εκαστος εις την πολιν αυτου

Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;

οι ελθοντες μετα Ζοροβαβελ, Ιησου, Νεεμια, Αζαρια, Ρααμια, Νααμανι, Μαροδοχαιου, Βιλσαν, Μισπερεθ, Βιγουαι, Νεουμ, Βαανα. Αριθμος των ανδρων του λαου Ισραηλ

The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.

υιοι Φαρως, δισχιλιοι εκατον εβδομηκοντα δυο.

The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.

Υιοι Σεφατια, τριακοσιοι εβδομηκοντα δυο.

The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.

Υιοι Αραχ, εξακοσιοι πεντηκοντα δυο.

The children of Pahath–moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.

Υιοι Φααθ−μωαβ, εκ των υιων Ιησου και Ιωαβ, δισχιλιοι και οκτακοσιοι δεκαοκτω.

The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

Υιοι Ελαμ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι πεντηκοντα τεσσαρες.

The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.

Υιοι Ζατθου, οκτακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε.

The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.

Υιοι Ζακχαι, επτακοσιοι εξηκοντα.

The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.

Υιοι Βιννουι, εξακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα οκτω.

The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.

Υιοι Βηβαι, εξακοσιοι εικοσιοκτω.

The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.

Υιοι Αζγαδ, δισχιλιοι τριακοσιοι εικοσιδυο.

The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.

Υιοι Αδωνικαμ, εξακοσιοι εξηκοντα επτα.

The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.

Υιοι Βιγουαι, δισχιλιοι εξηκοντα επτα.

The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.

Υιοι Αδιν, εξακοσιοι πεντηκοντα πεντε.

The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.

Υιοι Ατηρ εκ του Εζεκιου, ενενηκοντα οκτω.

The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.

Υιοι Ασουμ, τριακοσιοι εικοσιοκτω.

The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.

Υιοι Βησαι, τριακοσιοι εικοσιτεσσαρες.

The children of Hariph, an hundred and twelve.

Υιοι Αριφ, εκατον δωδεκα.

The children of Gibeon, ninety and five.

Υιοι Γαβαων, ενενηκοντα πεντε.

The men of Beth–lehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.

Ανδρες Βηθλεεμ και Νετωφα, εκατον ογδοηκοντα οκτω.

The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.

Ανδρες Αναθωθ, εκατον εικοσιοκτω.

The men of Beth–azmaveth, forty and two.

Ανδρες Βαιθ−ασμαβεθ, τεσσαρακοντα δυο.

The men of Kirjath–jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.

Ανδρες Κιριαθ−ιαρειμ, Χεφειρα, και Βηρωθ, επτακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα τρεις.

The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one.

Ανδρες Ραμα και Γαβαα, εξακοσιοι εικοσι και εις.

The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.

Ανδρες Μιχμας, εκατον εικοσιδυο.

The men of Beth–el and Ai, an hundred twenty and three.

Ανδρες Βαιθηλ, και Γαι, εκατον εικοσιτρεις.

The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.

Ανδρες της αλλης Νεβω, πεντηκοντα δυο.

The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

Υιοι του αλλου Ελαμ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι πεντηκοντα τεσσαρες.

The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.

Υιοι Χαρημ, τριακοσιοι εικοσι.

The children of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.

Υιοι Ιεριχω, τριακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε.

The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one.

Υιοι Λωδ, Αδιδ, και Ωνω, επτακοσιοι εικοσι και εις.

The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.

Υιοι Σεναα, τρισχιλιοι εννεακοσιοι τριακοντα.

The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.

Οι ιερεις υιοι Ιεδαια, εκ του οικου Ιησου, εννεακοσιοι εβδομηκοντα τρεις.

The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.

Υιοι Ιμμηρ, χιλιοι πεντηκοντα δυο.

The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.

Υιοι Πασχωρ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα επτα.

The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.

Υιοι Χαρημ, χιλιοι δεκαεπτα.

The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.

Οι Λευιται υιοι Ιησου εκ του Καδμιηλ, εκ των υιων Ωδαυια, εβδομηκοντα τεσσαρες.

The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.

Οι ψαλτωδοι υιοι Ασαφ, εκατον τεσσαρακοντα οκτω.

The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.

Οι πυλωροι υιοι Σαλλουμ, υιοι Ατηρ, υιοι Ταλμων, υιοι Ακκουβ, υιοι Ατιτα, υιοι Σωβαι, εκατον τριακοντα οκτω.

The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,

Οι Νεθινειμ υιοι Σιχα, υιοι Ασουφα, υιοι Ταββαωθ,

The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,

υιοι Κηρως, υιοι Σιαα, υιοι Φαδων,

The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,

υιοι Λεβανα, υιοι Αγαβα, υιοι Σαλμαι,

The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,

υιοι Αναν, υιοι Γιδδηλ, υιοι Γααρ,

The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,

υιοι Ρεαια, υιοι Ρεσιν, υιοι Νεκωδα,

The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,

υιοι Γαζαμ, υιοι Ουζα, υιοι Φασεα,

The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,

υιοι Βησαι, υιοι Μεουνειμ, υιοι Ναφουσεσειμ,

The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,

υιοι Βακβουκ, υιοι Ακουφα, υιοι Αρουρ,

The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,

υιοι Βασλιθ, υιοι Μειδα, υιοι Αρσα,

The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,

υιοι Βαρκως, υιοι Σισαρα, υιοι Θαμα,

The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.

υιοι Νεσια, υιοι Ατιφα.

The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,

Οι υιοι των δουλων του Σολομωντος υιοι Σωται, υιοι Σωφερεθ, υιοι Φερειδα,

The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,

υιοι Ιααλα, υιοι Δαρκων, υιοι Γιδδηλ,

The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.

υιοι Σεφατια, υιοι Αττιλ, υιοι Φοχερεθ απο Σεβαιμ, υιοι Αμων.

All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.

Παντες οι Νεθινειμ, και οι υιοι των δουλων του Σολομωντος, ησαν τριακοσιοι ενενηκοντα δυο.

And these were they which went up also from Tel–melah, Tel–haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.

Ουτοι δε ησαν οι αναβαντες απο Θελ−μελαχ, Θελ−αρησα, Χερουβ, Αδδων, και Ιμμηρ δεν ηδυναντο ομως να δειξωσι τον οικον της πατριας αυτων και το σπερμα αυτων, αν ησαν εκ του Ισραηλ

The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.

Υιοι Δαλαια, υιοι Τωβια, υιοι Νεκωδα, εξακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα δυο.

And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.

Και εκ των ιερεων υιοι Αβαια, υιοι Ακκως, υιοι Βαρζελλαι, οστις ελαβε γυναικα εκ των θυγατερων Βαρζελλαι του Γαλααδιτου και ωνομασθη κατα το ονομα αυτων.

These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

Ουτοι εζητησαν την καταγραφην αυτων μεταξυ των απαριθμηθεντων κατα γενεαλογιαν, και δεν ευρεθη οθεν εξεβληθησαν απο της ιερατειας.

And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.

Και ειπε προς αυτους ο Θιρσαθα, να μη φαγωσιν απο των αγιωτατων πραγματων, εωσου αναστηθη ιερευς μετα Ουριμ και Θουμμιμ.

The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

Πασα η συναξις ομου ησαν τεσσαρακοντα δυο χιλιαδες τριακοσιοι εξηκοντα,

Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.

εκτος των δουλων αυτων και των θεραπαινιδων αυτων, οιτινες ησαν επτακισχιλιοι τριακοσιοι τριακοντα επτα και πλην τουτων διακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε ψαλτωδοι και ψαλτριαι.

Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:

Οι ιπποι αυτων, επτακοσιοι τριακοντα εξ αι ημιονοι αυτων, διακοσιαι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε

Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.

αι καμηλοι, τετρακοσιαι τριακοντα πεντε αι ονοι, εξακισχιλιαι επτακοσιαι εικοσι.

And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.

Και τινες εκ των αρχηγων των πατριων εδωκαν δια το εργον. Ο Θιρσαθα εδωκεν εις το θησαυροφυλακιον χιλιας δραχμας χρυσιου, πεντηκοντα φιαλας, πεντακοσιους τριακοντα ιερατικους χιτωνας.

And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.

Και τινες εκ των αρχηγων των πατριων εδωκαν εις το θησαυροφυλακιον του εργου εικοσι χιλιαδας δραχμας χρυσιου και δυο χιλιαδας διακοσιας μνας αργυριου.

And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.

Και το δοθεν απο του επιλοιπου λαου ητο εικοσι χιλιαδες δραχμαι χρυσιου, και δισχιλιαι μναι αργυριου, και εξηκοντα επτα ιερατικοι χιτωνες.

So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

Ουτως οι ιερεις και οι Λευιται και οι πυλωροι και οι ψαλτωδοι και μερος εκ του λαου και οι Νεθινειμ και πας ο Ισραηλ, κατωκησαν εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων. Και οτε εφθασεν ο εβδομος μην, οι υιοι Ισραηλ ησαν εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων.
