Job 37

At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

Słuchajcie z pilnością grzmienia głosu jego, i dźwięku który wychodzi z ust jego.

Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

Pod wszystkiem niebem prosto go wypuszcza, a światłość jego po wszystkich kończynach ziemi.

He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

Za nią wnet huczy dźwiękiem, grzmi głosem zacności swojej, i nie odkłada innych rzeczy, gdy bywa słyszany głos jego.

After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

Dziwnie Bóg grzmi głosem swoim; sprawuje rzeczy tak wielkie, że ich rozumieć nie możemy.

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

Bo mówi do śniegu: Padaj na ziemię; także i do deszczu wolnego, i do deszczu gwałtownego.

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

Rękę wszystkich ludzi zawiera, aby nikt z ludzi nie doglądał roboty swojej.

He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

Tedy zwierz wchodzi do jaskini, a w jamach swoich zostaje.

Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

Wicher z skrytych miejsc wychodzi, a zima z wiatrów północnych.

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

Tchnieniem swojem Bóg czyni lód, tak iż się szerokość wód ściska.

By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

Także dla pokropienia ziemi obciąża obłok, i rozpędza chmurę światłem swojem.

Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

A ten się obraca w koło według rady jego, aby czynił wszystko, co Bóg rozkaże, na oblicze okręgu ziemskiego.

And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

A czyni to Bóg, że się stawia bądź na skaranie, bądź dla pożytku ziemi swojej, bądź dla jakiej dobroczynności.

He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

Słuchajże tego pilnie, Ijobie! zastanów się, a uważaj dziwne sprawy Boże.

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

Izali wiesz, kiedy co Bóg stanowi o tych rzeczach? albo gdy ma rozjaśnić światło obłoku swego?

Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

Izali wiesz, co za waga obłoków? Izali wiesz cuda Doskonałego we wszelakiej umiejętności?

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

Wieszże, jako cię szaty twoje ogrzewają, gdy ucisza ziemię od południa?

How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

Izażeś z nim rozpościerał niebiosa, które są trwałe, a zwierciadłu odlewanemu podobne?

Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

Ukażże nam, co mu mamy powiedzieć; bo nie możemy sporządzić słów dla ciemności.

Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

Izali mu kto odniesie to, cobym mówił? I owszem, gdyby to kto przedłożył, byłby pewnie pożarty.

Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

Wszak teraz nie mogą ludzie patrzyć i na światło, gdy jest jasne na obłokach, gdy wiatr przechodzi, i przeczyszcza je.

And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

Od północy jako złoto przychodzi, ale w Bogu straszniejsza jest chwała.

Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

Wszechmogący jest, doścignąć go nie możemy; wielki w mocy, wszakże sądem i ostrą sprawiedliwością ludzi nie trapi.

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

Przetoż boją się go ludzie; nie ma względu na żadnego, by też był i najmędrszy.

Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
