Matthew 6

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Внимавайте да не вършите правдата си пред хората, за да ви виждат; иначе нямате награда при вашия Отец, който е на небесата.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

И така, когато правиш милостиня, не тръби пред себе си, както правят лицемерите по синагогите и по улиците, за да ги хвалят хората. Истина ви казвам: те са получили своята награда.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

А когато ти правиш милостиня, нека лявата ти ръка да не знае какво прави дясната,

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

за да бъде твоята милостиня в тайно; и твоят Отец, който вижда в тайно, ще те възнагради.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

И когато се молиш, не бъди като лицемерите; защото те обичат да се молят стоящи по синагогите и по ъглите на улиците, за да ги виждат хората. Истина ви казвам: те са получили своята награда.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

А ти, когато се молиш, влез във вътрешната си стаичка и като си затвориш вратата, се помоли на своя Отец, който е в тайно; и твоят Отец, който вижда в тайно, ще те възнагради.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

А когато се молите, не говорете излишни думи както езичниците; защото те мислят, че ще бъдат послушани заради многословието си.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

И така, не бъдете като тях; защото вашият Отец знае от какво се нуждаете, преди вие да Му искате.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

А вие се молете така: Отче наш, който си на небесата, да се свети Твоето Име;

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

да дойде Твоето царство; да бъде Твоята воля, както на небето, така и на земята!

Give us this day our daily bread.

Дай ни днес всекидневния хляб,

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

и прости ни дълговете, както и ние прощаваме на нашите длъжници.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

И не ни въвеждай в изкушение, а ни избави от лукавия, (защото царството е Твое, и силата, и славата, до вековете. Амин).

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Защото, ако вие простите на хората прегрешенията им, то и небесният ви Отец ще прости на вас.

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Но ако вие не простите на хората прегрешенията им, то и вашият Отец няма да прости вашите прегрешения.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

А когато постите, не бъдете унили като лицемерите; защото те помрачават лицата си, за да се показват пред хората, че постят. Истина ви казвам: те са получили своята награда.

But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

А ти, когато постиш, помажи главата си и умий лицето си,

That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

за да не се показваш пред хората, че постиш, а пред твоя Отец, който е в тайно; и твоят Отец, който вижда в тайно, ще те възнагради.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Не си събирайте съкровища на земята, където молец и ръжда ги разяждат и където крадци подкопават и крадат;

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

а си събирайте съкровища на небето, където нито молец, нито ръжда ги разяждат и където крадци нито подкопават, нито крадат;

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

защото, където е съкровището ти, там ще бъде и сърцето ти.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Окото е светило на тялото. И така, ако окото ти е чисто, цялото ти тяло ще бъде осветено.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Но ако окото ти е зло, цялото ти тяло ще бъде помрачено. И така, ако светлината в теб е тъмнина, то колко голяма ще е тъмнината!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Никой не може да служи на двама господари, защото или ще намрази единия, а ще обикне другия, или към единия ще се привърже, а другия ще презира. Не можете да служите на Бога и на мамона.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Затова ви казвам: Не се безпокойте за живота си – какво ще ядете или какво ще пиете; нито за тялото си – какво ще облечете. Не е ли животът повече от храната, и тялото – от облеклото?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Погледнете на небесните птици, че не сеят, нито жънат, нито в житници събират; и пак небесният ви Отец ги храни. Вие не сте ли много по-ценни от тях?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

И кой от вас може с безпокойство да прибави един лакът на ръста си?

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

И за облекло защо се безпокоите? Разгледайте полските кремове как растат – не се трудят, нито предат;

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

но ви казвам, че дори Соломон в цялата си слава не се е обличал като един от тях.

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Но ако Бог така облича полската трева, която днес я има, а утре я хвърлят в пещта, няма ли много повече да облича вас, маловерци?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

И така, не се безпокойте и не казвайте: Какво ще ядем?; или: Какво ще пием?; или: Какво ще облечем?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Защото към всичко това се стремят езичниците; понеже небесният ви Отец знае, че се нуждаете от всичко това.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Но първо търсете Божието царство и Неговата правда; и всичко това ще ви се прибави.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Затова, не се безпокойте за утре, защото утрешният ден ще се безпокои за себе си. Достатъчно е на деня собственото му зло.
