Luke 18

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Каза им и една притча за това, че трябва винаги да се молят и да не се уморяват, като каза:

Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

В един град имаше един съдия, който не се боеше от Бога и човека не зачиташе.

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

В същия град имаше една вдовица, която идваше при него и му казваше: Отдай ми правото спрямо противника ми!

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Но той за известно време не искаше. Но после си каза: Въпреки че не се боя от Бога и хората не зачитам,

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

пак, понеже тази вдовица ми досажда, ще й отдам правото, да не би да ме измори с непрекъснатото си идване.

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

И Господ каза: Слушайте какво каза неправедният съдия!

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

А Бог няма ли да отдаде правото на Своите избрани, които викат към Него ден и нощ, и ще се бави ли спрямо тях?

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Казвам ви, че ще им отдаде правото скоро. Но когато дойде Човешкият Син, ще намери ли вяра на земята?

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

Също и на онези, които разчитаха на себе си, че са праведни, и презираха другите, каза и тази притча:

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

Двама души: единият фарисей, а другият бирник, се изкачиха в храма да се помолят.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

Фарисеят, като се изправи, се молеше в себе си така: Боже, благодаря Ти, че не съм като другите хора – грабители, неправедни, прелюбодейци, също и като този бирник.

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Постя два пъти в седмицата, давам десятък от всичко, което придобия.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

А бирникът, като стоеше надалеч, не искаше дори очите си да повдигне към небето, а се биеше в гърди и казваше: Боже, бъди милостив към мен, грешника.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Казвам ви, че този слезе у дома си оправдан, а не онзи; защото всеки, който възвишава себе си, ще бъде смирен, а който смирява себе си, ще бъде възвисен.

And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

Донесоха още при Него малките си деца, за да се докосне до тях; а учениците, като видяха, ги смъмриха.

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Но Иисус ги повика и каза: Оставете децата да дойдат при Мен и не ги възпирайте, защото на такива е Божието царство.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Истина ви казвам: който не приеме Божието царство като детенце, той никак няма да влезе в него.

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

И някой си началник Го попита, казвайки: Благи Учителю, какво да направя, за да наследя вечен живот?

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

А Иисус му каза: Защо Ме наричаш благ? Никой не е благ освен Един, Бог.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

Знаеш заповедите: ?Не прелюбодействай; не убивай; не кради; не лъжесвидетелствай; почитай баща си и майка си.“

And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

А той каза: Всичко това съм опазил от младостта си.

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Иисус, като чу, му каза: Едно още не ти достига. Продай всичко, което имаш, и го раздай на бедните, и ще имаш съкровище на небето; и ела и Ме следвай.

And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

А той, като чу това, много се наскърби, защото беше твърде богат.

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

И Иисус, като го видя, че много се наскърби, каза: Колко трудно ще влязат в Божието царство онези, които имат богатство!

For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Защото по-лесно е камила да мине през иглени уши, отколкото богат да влезе в Божието царство.

And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

А онези, които чуха това, казаха: Тогава кой може да се спаси?

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

А Той каза: Невъзможното за хората е възможно за Бога.

Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

А Петър каза: Ето, ние оставихме всичко и Те последвахме.

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

А Той им каза: Истина ви казвам: няма никой, който да е оставил къща или родители, или братя, или жена, или деца заради Божието царство,

Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

и който да не получи многократно повече в сегашно време, а в идващия свят – вечен живот.

Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

И като взе дванадесетте при Себе Си, им каза: Ето, изкачваме се към Ерусалим и всичко, което е писано чрез пророците за Човешкия Син, ще се изпълни,

For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

защото ще бъде предаден на езичниците, които ще се подиграят с Него и ще Го оскърбят, и ще Го заплюят,

And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

и ще Го бият, и ще Го убият; и на третия ден ще възкръсне.

And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Но те не разбираха нищо от това; тази дума беше скрита за тях и те не разбираха това, което се казваше.

And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

А когато Той се приближаваше до Ерихон, един слепец седеше край пътя да проси.

And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

И като чу, че минава народ, попита какво е това.

And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

И му казаха, че Иисус Назарянинът минава.

And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Тогава той извика, като каза: Иисусе, Сине Давидов, смили се над мен!

And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

А тези, които вървяха отпред, го смъмриха, за да млъкне; но той още повече викаше: Сине Давидов, смили се над мен!

And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

И така, Иисус се спря и заповяда да Му го доведат. И когато онзи се приближи, Той го попита:

Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

Какво искаш да ти сторя? А той каза: Господи, да прогледам.

And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

Иисус му каза: Прогледай! Твоята вяра те изцели.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

И той веднага прогледа и Го последва, като славеше Бога. И целият народ, като видя това, въздаде хвала на Бога.
