Isaiah 3

For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

Защото, ето, Господ, ГОСПОД на Войнствата, ще отнеме от Ерусалим и от Юда подпората и подкрепата, всяка подпора от хляб и всяка подпора от вода,

The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

силен и воин, съдия и пророк, и врач, и старец,

The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

петдесетоначалник и почитан, и съветник, и изкусен майстор и умел баяч.

And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

И ще им дам момчета за князе и деца ще владеят над тях.

And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

И народът ще бъде потискан — човек от човека и всеки от ближния си. Момчето ще се големее против стареца и нищожният против почитания.

When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

Когато човек улови брат си в бащиния си дом, и каже: Ти имаш дреха, стани ни началник, и нека това разорено място да бъде под твоята ръка! —

In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

в онзи ден той ще надигне глас, ще каже: Не ща да стана изцелител, защото в къщата ми няма нито хляб, нито дреха. Не ме поставяйте началник на народа.

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

Защото Ерусалим рухна, Юда падна, понеже езикът им и делата им са противни на ГОСПОДА и дразнят славните Му очи.

The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

Изразът на лицето им свидетелства против тях; заявяват явно своя грях, като Содом, не го и крият. Горко на душата им, защото сами на себе си направиха зло!

Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Кажете на праведния, че ще му бъде добре, защото ще ядат плода на деянията си.

Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Горко на безбожния, зле ще му бъде, защото делата на ръцете му ще му се отплатят.

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Народът Ми — деца го угнетяват и жени над него властват. Народе Мой, водачите ти заблуждават и объркаха пътя, по който ходиш.

The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

ГОСПОД застава на съд и стои да съди народи.

The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

ГОСПОД ще влезе в съд със старейшините на народа Си и с князете му. И ще им каже: Вие опустошихте лозето! Ограбеното от сиромаха е в къщите ви!

What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

Защо смазвате народа Ми и смилате лицата на сиромасите? — заявява Господ, ГОСПОД на Войнствата.

Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

И ГОСПОД каза: Понеже сионските дъщери са горди и ходят с надигната шия и с безсрамни очи, ходят съблазнително и подрънкват с гривните на краката си,

Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

затова Господ ще оплешиви темето на сионските дъщери и ГОСПОД ще открие срама им.

In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

В онзи ден ГОСПОД ще отнеме славата на дрънкулките, слънчицата и луничките,

The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

обиците и гривните и тънките воали,

The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

и панделките, и верижките на глезените, и поясите, и шишенцата за благоухания, и амулетите,

The rings, and nose jewels,

и пръстените, и обиците на носа,

The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

разкошните дрехи и наметалата, и шаловете, и кесиите,

The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

огледалата и тънките ризи, тюрбаните и покривалата.

And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

И вместо благоухание ще има гнилота, вместо пояс — въже, вместо накъдрени коси — плешивост, вместо нагръдник — опасано вретище, и изгаряне — наместо красота.

Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

Мъжете ти от меч ще паднат и силните ти — във война.

And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

И портите й ще въздишат и ще плачат; и тя ще седи опустошена на земята.
