Psalms 66

ای مردم روی زمین برای خدا با شادی بسرایید.

Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

نام پُر جلال او را ستایش کنید و عظمت او را بستایید.

Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

به خدا بگویید: «کارهای تو چقدر حیرت‌انگیز است و قدرت تو چقدر عظیم است که دشمنان از ترس در برابر تو تسلیم می‌شوند.

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

تمام مردم روی زمین، تو را می‌پرستند، تو را ستایش می‌کنند و نام تو را می‌ستایند.»

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

بیایید و کارهای شگفت‌انگیزی را که خدا در میان مردم انجام داده است ببینید.

Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

او دریا را به زمین خشک تبدیل نمود، اجداد ما با پا از آن عبور کردند. آنها در آن روز برای کاری که خدا کرد، شادی کردند.

He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

او با قدرت خود، برای همیشه فرمانروایی می‌کند و همهٔ اقوام را زیر نظر دارد. ای مردم سرکش، علیه او طغیان نکنید.

He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

ای مردم جهان، با آواز بلند خدای ما را ستایش کنید تا همه صدای شما را بشنوند.

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

او ما را زنده نگاه داشت و نگذاشت که پای ما بلغزد.

Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

ای خدا، چنانکه نقره را در کوره می‌گذارند تا پاک شود، تو ما را در کوره آزمایش گذاشتی تا پاک شویم.

For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

تو ما را در دام گرفتار کردی و بارهای سنگینی را بر دوش ما نهادی.

Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

دشمنان ما را بر ما مسلّط ساختی و ما از میان آب و آتش عبور نمودیم. امّا سرانجام ما را به جای سبز و خرّم آوردی.

Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

قربانی‌های سوختنی به خانهٔ تو آورده‌ام و نذرهای خود را ادا می‌کنم.

I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

نذرهایی را که در زمان سختی کرده بودم ادا خواهم كرد.

Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

من گوساله‌ها و بُزها را برای تو قربانی خواهم كرد و گوسفند را برای قربانی سوختنی تقدیم خواهم كرد تا دود آن به آسمان برسد.

I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

ای کسانی‌که به خدا احترام می‌گذارید، بیایید و بشنوید تا شما را از کارهایی که خداوند برای من انجام داده است آگاه سازم.

Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

برای کمک به درگاه او فریاد نمودم و با سرودها او را ستایش کردم.

I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

اگر به گناهان خود اقرار نمی‌کردم، خداوند دعای مرا نمی‌شنید.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

امّا خدا دعای مرا شنید و آن را مستجاب فرمود.

But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

خدا را سپاس می‌گویم، چون او دعای مرا رد نکرد! و محبّت پایدار خود را از من دریغ نفرمود.

Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
