Job 8

Тогава шуахецът Валдад отговори и каза:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Докога ще говориш така и думите на устата ти ще бъдат силен вятър?

How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

Ще изкриви ли Бог съда? Всемогъщият ще изкриви ли правдата?

Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

Ако синовете ти са съгрешили против Него, Той ги е отхвърлил заради престъплението им.

If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;

Ако ти би потърсил усърдно Бога и би помолил Всемогъщия за милост,

If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;

ако би бил чист и праведен, Той непременно би се събудил сега заради теб и би дал благоденствие на праведното ти жилище.

If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

И да е било началото ти малко, краят ти ще се увеличи много.

Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Защото, разпитай, моля те, предишния род и размисли върху откритото от бащите им;

For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

понеже ние сме едва от вчера и не знаем нищо, защото земните ни дни са като сянка.

(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)

Те няма ли да те научат, да ти кажат, да отронят думи от сърцето си?

Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?

Никне ли шавар без блато? Расне ли тръстика без вода?

Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?

Докато е още зелена и неокосена, изсъхва преди всяка друга трева.

Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.

Така са пътищата на всички, които забравят Бога; и надеждата на лицемера ще погине,

So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

увереността му ще се отсече и упованието му е паяжина.

Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.

Той се опира на къщата си, но тя не устоява; хваща се здраво за нея, но тя не издържа.

He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.

Сочен е на слънцето и клоните му се простират над градината му.

He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.

Корените му обвиват скалната грамада и той гледа каменната къща.

His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.

Ако го изтръгне Бог от мястото му, то ще се отрече от него, казвайки: Не съм те виждал.

If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.

Ето, това е радостта на пътя му! А от пръстта изникват други.

Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

Ето, Бог няма да отхвърли непорочния, нито ще подаде ръка на злодеите.

Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:

Докато напълни устата ти със смях и устните ти със ликуване,

Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.

онези, които те мразят, ще се облекат със срам и шатрата на безбожните няма да бъде вече!

They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
