Psalms 147

رب کی حمد ہو! اپنے خدا کی مدح سرائی کرنا کتنا بھلا ہے، اُس کی تمجید کرنا کتنا پیارا اور خوب صورت ہے۔

Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

رب یروشلم کو تعمیر کرتا اور اسرائیل کے منتشر جلاوطنوں کو جمع کرتا ہے۔

The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

وہ دل شکستوں کو شفا دے کر اُن کے زخموں پر مرہم پٹی لگاتا ہے۔

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

وہ ستاروں کی تعداد گن لیتا اور ہر ایک کا نام لے کر اُنہیں بُلاتا ہے۔

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

ہمارا رب عظیم ہے، اور اُس کی قدرت زبردست ہے۔ اُس کی حکمت کی کوئی انتہا نہیں۔

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

رب مصیبت زدوں کو اُٹھا کھڑا کرتا لیکن بدکاروں کو خاک میں ملا دیتا ہے۔

The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

رب کی تمجید میں شکر کا گیت گاؤ، ہمارے خدا کی خوشی میں سرود بجاؤ۔

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

کیونکہ وہ آسمان پر بادل چھانے دیتا، زمین کو بارش مہیا کرتا اور پہاڑوں پر گھاس پھوٹنے دیتا ہے۔

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

وہ مویشی کو چارا اور کوّے کے بچوں کو وہ کچھ کھلاتا ہے جو وہ شور مچا کر مانگتے ہیں۔

He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

نہ وہ گھوڑے کی طاقت سے لطف اندوز ہوتا، نہ آدمی کی مضبوط ٹانگوں سے خوش ہوتا ہے۔

He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

رب اُن ہی سے خوش ہوتا ہے جو اُس کا خوف مانتے اور اُس کی شفقت کے انتظار میں رہتے ہیں۔

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

اے یروشلم، رب کی مدح سرائی کر! اے صیون، اپنے خدا کی حمد کر!

Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

کیونکہ اُس نے تیرے دروازوں کے کنڈے مضبوط کر کے تیرے درمیان بسنے والی اولاد کو برکت دی ہے۔

For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

وہی تیرے علاقے میں امن اور سکون قائم رکھتا اور تجھے بہترین گندم سے سیر کرتا ہے۔

He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

وہ اپنا فرمان زمین پر بھیجتا ہے تو اُس کا کلام تیزی سے پہنچتا ہے۔

He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

وہ اُون جیسی برف مہیا کرتا اور پالا راکھ کی طرح چاروں طرف بکھیر دیتا ہے۔

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

وہ اپنے اولے کنکروں کی طرح زمین پر پھینک دیتا ہے۔ کون اُس کی شدید سردی برداشت کر سکتا ہے؟

He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

وہ ایک بار پھر اپنا فرمان بھیجتا ہے تو برف پگھل جاتی ہے۔ وہ اپنی ہَوا چلنے دیتا ہے تو پانی ٹپکنے لگتا ہے۔

He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

اُس نے یعقوب کو اپنا کلام سنایا، اسرائیل پر اپنے احکام اور آئین ظاہر کئے ہیں۔

He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

ایسا سلوک اُس نے کسی اَور قوم سے نہیں کیا۔ دیگر اقوام تو تیرے احکام نہیں جانتیں۔ رب کی حمد ہو!

He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
