Isaiah 3

قادرِ مطلق رب الافواج یروشلم اور یہوداہ سے سب کچھ چھیننے کو ہے جس پر لوگ انحصار کرتے ہیں۔ روٹی کا ہر لقمہ اور پانی کا ہر قطرہ،

For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

سورمے اور فوجی، قاضی اور نبی، قسمت کا حال بتانے والے اور بزرگ،

The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

فوجی افسر اور اثر و رسوخ والے، مشیر، جادوگر اور منتر پھونکنے والے، سب کے سب چھین لئے جائیں گے۔

The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

مَیں لڑکے اُن پر مقرر کروں گا، اور متلوّن مزاج ظالم اُن پر حکومت کریں گے۔

And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

عوام ایک دوسرے پر ظلم کریں گے، اور ہر ایک اپنے پڑوسی کو دبائے گا۔ نوجوان بزرگوں پر اور کمینے، عزت داروں پر حملہ کریں گے۔

And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

تب کوئی اپنے باپ کے گھر میں اپنے بھائی کو پکڑ کر اُس سے کہے گا، ”تیرے پاس اب تک چادر ہے، اِس لئے آ، ہمارا سربراہ بن جا! کھنڈرات کے اِس ڈھیر کو سنبھالنے کی ذمہ داری اُٹھا لے!“

When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

لیکن وہ چیخ کر انکار کرے گا، ”نہیں، مَیں تمہارا معالجہ کر ہی نہیں سکتا! میرے گھر میں نہ روٹی ہے، نہ چادر۔ مجھے عوام کا سربراہ مت بنانا!“

In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

یروشلم ڈگمگا رہا ہے، یہوداہ دھڑام سے گر گیا ہے۔ اور وجہ یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنی باتوں اور حرکتوں سے رب کی مخالفت کرتے ہیں۔ اُس کے جلالی حضور ہی میں وہ سرکشی کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

اُن کی جانب داری اُن کے خلاف گواہی دیتی ہے۔ اور وہ سدوم کے باشندوں کی طرح علانیہ اپنے گناہوں پر فخر کرتے ہیں، وہ اُنہیں چھپانے کی کوشش ہی نہیں کرتے۔ اُن پر افسوس! وہ تو اپنے آپ کو مصیبت میں ڈال رہے ہیں۔

The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

راست بازوں کو مبارک باد دو، کیونکہ وہ اپنے اعمال کے اچھے پھل سے لطف اندوز ہوں گے۔

Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

لیکن بےدینوں پر افسوس! اُن کا انجام بُرا ہو گا، کیونکہ اُنہیں غلط کام کی مناسب سزا ملے گی۔

Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

ہائے، میری قوم! متلوّن مزاج تجھ پر ظلم کرتے اور عورتیں تجھ پر حکومت کرتی ہیں۔ اے میری قوم، تیرے راہنما تجھے گم راہ کر رہے ہیں، وہ تجھے اُلجھا کر صحیح راہ سے بھٹکا رہے ہیں۔

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

رب عدالت میں مقدمہ لڑنے کے لئے کھڑا ہوا ہے، وہ قوموں کی عدالت کرنے کے لئے اُٹھا ہے۔

The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

رب اپنی قوم کے بزرگوں اور رئیسوں کا فیصلہ کرنے کے لئے سامنے آ کر فرماتا ہے، ”تم ہی انگور کے باغ میں چرتے ہوئے سب کچھ کھا گئے ہو، تمہارے گھر ضرورت مندوں کے لُوٹے ہوئے مال سے بھرے پڑے ہیں۔

The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

یہ تم نے کیسی گستاخی کر دکھائی؟ یہ میری ہی قوم ہے جسے تم کچل رہے ہو۔ تم مصیبت زدوں کے چہروں کو چکّی میں پیس رہے ہو۔“ قادرِ مطلق رب الافواج یوں فرماتا ہے۔

What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

رب نے فرمایا، ”صیون کی بیٹیاں کتنی مغرور ہیں۔ جب آنکھ مار مار کر چلتی ہیں تو اپنی گردنوں کو کتنی شوخی سے اِدھر اُدھر گھماتی ہیں۔ اور جب مٹک مٹک کر قدم اُٹھاتی ہیں تو پاؤں پر بندھے ہوئے گھنگھرو بولتے ہیں ٹن ٹن، ٹن ٹن۔“

Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

جواب میں رب اُن کے سروں پر پھوڑے پیدا کر کے اُن کے ماتھوں کو گنجا ہونے دے گا۔

Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

اُس دن رب اُن کا تمام سنگار اُتار دے گا: اُن کے گھنگھرو، سورج اور چاند کے زیورات،

In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

آویزے، کڑے، دوپٹے،

The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

سجیلی ٹوپیاں، پائل، خوشبو کی بوتلیں، تعویذ،

The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

انگوٹھیاں، نتھ،

The rings, and nose jewels,

شاندار کپڑے، چادریں، بٹوے،

The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

آئینے، نفیس لباس، سربند اور شال۔

The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

خوشبو کی بجائے بدبو ہو گی، کمربند کے بجائے رسّی، سلجھے ہوئے بالوں کے بجائے گنجاپن، شاندار لباس کے بجائے ٹاٹ، خوب صورتی کی بجائے شرمندگی۔

And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

ہائے، یروشلم! تیرے مرد تلوار کی زد میں آ کر مریں گے، تیرے سورمے لڑتے لڑتے شہید ہو جائیں گے۔

Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

شہر کے دروازے آہیں بھر بھر کر ماتم کریں گے، صیون بیٹی تنہا رہ کر خاک میں بیٹھ جائے گی۔

And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
