Psalms 135

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

Halelujah. Chvalte jméno Hospodinovo, chvalte služebníci Hospodinovi,

Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

Kteříž stáváte v domě Hospodinově, v síňcích domu Boha našeho.

Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

Chvalte Hospodina, nebo jest dobrý Hospodin; žalmy zpívejte jménu jeho, nebo rozkošné jest.

For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

Jákoba zajisté sobě vyvolil Hospodin, a Izraele za svůj lid zvláštní.

For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

Jáť jsem jistě seznal, že veliký jest Hospodin, a Pán náš nade všecky bohy.

Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

Cožkoli chce Hospodin, to činí na nebi i na zemi, v moři i ve všech propastech.

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

Kterýž způsobuje to, že páry vystupují od krajů země; blýskání s deštěm přivodí, a vyvodí vítr z pokladů svých.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

Kterýž zbil prvorozené v Egyptě, od člověka až do hovada.

Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

Poslal znamení a zázraky u prostřed tebe, Egypte, na Faraona i na všecky služebníky jeho.

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

Kterýž pobil národy mnohé, a zbil krále mocné,

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

Seona krále Amorejského, a Oga krále Bázan, i všecka království Kananejská.

And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

A dal zemi jejich v dědictví, v dědictví Izraelovi lidu svému.

Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

Hospodine, jméno tvé na věky, Hospodine, památka tvá od národu až do pronárodu.

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

Souditi zajisté bude Hospodin lid svůj, a služebníkům svým bude milostiv.

The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

Ale modly pohanské stříbro a zlato, dílo rukou lidských,

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

Ústa mají a nemluví, oči mají a nevidí.

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

Uši mají a neslyší, nýbrž ani ducha není v ústech jejich.

They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

Buďtež jim podobní, kteříž je dělají, a kdožkoli naději svou v nich skládají.

Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

Dome Izraelský, dobrořečte Hospodinu; dome Aronův, dobrořečte Hospodinu.

Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

Dome Léví, dobrořečte Hospodinu; kteříž se bojíte Hospodina, dobrořečte Hospodinu.

Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

Požehnaný Hospodin z Siona, kterýž přebývá v Jeruzalémě. Halelujah.
