Psalms 135

خداوند را سپاس باد! ای بندگان خداوند، او را پرستش کنید، نام او را ستایش کنید.

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

ای کسانی‌که در خانهٔ خداوند، در معبد بزرگ خدای ما ایستاده‌اید،

Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

خداوند را شکر کنید، زیرا که نیکوست. برای او سرود بخوانید، زیرا که او مهربان است.

Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

او یعقوب را انتخاب نمود و بنی‌اسرائیل را برای خود برگزید.

For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

می‌دانم که خداوند بزرگ و برتر از همهٔ خدایان است.

For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

هرچه که اراده‏اش باشد، انجام می‌دهد، چه در آسمان و چه بر زمین، چه در دریا و چه در اعماق آن.

Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

ابرها را از دورترین نقاط زمین می‌آورد، رعد و برق و باران را پدید می‌آورد. و توفان را می‌آورد.

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

او کسی است که پسران اول خانواده‌‌های مصر، و همچنین نخستزادگان حیوانات آنها را کشت.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

نشانه‌ها و کارهای شگفت‌آوری در برابر چشمان فرعون و خادمان او به عمل آورد.

Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

اقوام زیاد و پادشاهان مقتدر را نابود کرد.

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

سیحون، پادشاه اموریان، عوج، پادشاه باشان، و تمام پادشاهان کنعان را از بین برد و سرزمین آنها را به قوم خود، بنی‌اسرائیل داد.

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

سیحون، پادشاه اموریان، عوج، پادشاه باشان، و تمام پادشاهان کنعان را از بین برد و سرزمین آنها را به قوم خود، بنی‌اسرائیل داد.

And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

خداوندا، نام تو تا ابد جاودان است و تمام نسلها تو را به یاد خواهند آورد.

Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

زیرا خداوند از قوم خود حمایت می‌کند و بر بندگان خود رحمت می‌کند.

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

بُتهای اقوام دیگر از طلا و نقره ساختهٔ دست بشر هستند.

The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

آنها دهان دارند، امّا حرف نمی‌زنند. چشم دارند، ولی نمی‌بینند.

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

گوش دارند، ولی نمی‌شنوند، حتّی قادر نیستند که نفس بکشند.

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

کسانی‌که آنها را ساخته‌اند و به آنها ایمان دارند، مانند آنها خواهند شد.

They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

ای قوم اسرائیل، خداوند را ستایش کنید؛ ای خاندان هارون، خداوند را بپرستید!

Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

ای طايفهٔ لاوی، او را بپرستید؛ ای کسانی‌که از او می‌ترسید، خداوند را ستایش کنید!

Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

خداوند را در صهیون ستایش کنید و از خانهٔ او در اورشلیم. خدا را سپاس باد!

Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
