Родословието на Иисус Христос, Син на Давид, Син на Авраам.

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Авраам роди Исаак; Исаак роди Яков; Яков роди Юда и братята му;

Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Юда роди Фарес и Зара от Тамар; Фарес роди Есрон; Есрон роди Арам;

And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

Арам роди Аминадав; Аминадав роди Наасон; Наасон роди Салмон;

And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

Салмон роди Вооз от Рахав; Вооз роди Овид от Рут; Овид роди Есей;

And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

а Есей роди цар Давид. Давид роди Соломон от жената на Урия;

And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

Соломон роди Ровоам; Ровоам роди Авия; Авия роди Аса;

And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

Аса роди Йосафат; Йосафат роди Йорам; Йорам роди Озия;

And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

Озия роди Йотам; Йотам роди Ахаз; Ахаз роди Езекия;

And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;

Езекия роди Манасия; Манасия роди Амон; Амон роди Йосия;

And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;

а Йосия роди Ехония и братята му във времето на преселението във Вавилон.

And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

А след преселението във Вавилон Ехония роди Салатиил; Салатиил роди Зоровавел;

And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;

Зоровавел роди Авиуд; Авиуд роди Елиаким; Елиаким роди Азор;

And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

Азор роди Садок; Садок роди Ахим; Ахим роди Елиуд;

And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

Елиуд роди Елеазар; Елеазар роди Матан; Матан роди Яков;

And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

а Яков роди Йосиф, мъжа на Мария, от която се роди Иисус, който се нарича Христос.

And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

И така, всичките родове от Авраам до Давид са четиринадесет; от Давид до преселението във Вавилон – четиринадесет рода; и от преселението във Вавилон до Христос – четиринадесет рода.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

А рождението на Иисус Христос беше така: след като майка Му Мария беше сгодена за Йосиф, преди да се бяха съединили, тя се намери бременна от Светия Дух.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

А мъжът й Йосиф, понеже беше праведен, а пък не искаше да я изложи, намисли да я напусне тайно.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Но когато мислеше това, ето, Господен ангел му се яви насън и каза: Йосифе, сине Давидов, не се бой да вземеш жена си Мария, защото заченатото в нея е от Светия Дух.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Тя ще роди син, когото ще наречеш Иисус, защото Той е, който ще спаси народа Си от греховете му.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

А всичко това стана, за да се сбъдне реченото от Господа чрез пророка, който казва:

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

?Ето, девицата ще зачене и ще роди син; и ще Го нарекат Емануил“, което се превежда: Бог с нас.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

И така, Йосиф, като стана от сън, направи, както му заповяда Господният ангел, и взе жена си;

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

но не я позна, докато тя роди първородния си син; и Го нарече Иисус.

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
