I Kings 4

اب سلیمان پورے اسرائیل پر حکومت کرتا تھا۔

So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

یہ اُس کے اعلیٰ افسر تھے: امامِ اعظم: عزریاہ بن صدوق،

And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

میرمنشی: سیسہ کے بیٹے اِلی حورف اور اخیاہ، بادشاہ کا مشیرِ خاص: یہوسفط بن اخی لُود،

Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

فوج کا کمانڈر: بِنایاہ بن یہویدع، امام: صدوق اور ابیاتر،

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

ضلعوں پر مقرر افسروں کا سردار: عزریاہ بن ناتن، بادشاہ کا قریبی مشیر: امام زبود بن ناتن،

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

محل کا انچارج: اخی سر، بےگاریوں کا انچارج: ادونیرام بن عبدا

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

سلیمان نے ملکِ اسرائیل کو بارہ ضلعوں میں تقسیم کر کے ہر ضلع پر ایک افسر مقرر کیا تھا۔ اِن افسروں کی ایک ذمہ داری یہ تھی کہ دربار کی ضروریات پوری کریں۔ ہر افسر کو سال میں ایک ماہ کی ضروریات پوری کرنی تھیں۔

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

درجِ ذیل اِن افسروں اور اُن کے علاقوں کی فہرست ہے۔ بن حور: افرائیم کا پہاڑی علاقہ،

And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

بن دِقر: مقص، سعلبیم، بیت شمس اور ایلون بیت حنان،

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:

بن حصد: ارُبّوت، سوکہ اور حِفر کا علاقہ،

The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

سلیمان کی بیٹی طافت کا شوہر بن ابی نداب: ساحلی شہر دور کا پہاڑی علاقہ،

The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

بعنہ بن اخی لُود: تعنک، مجِدّو اور اُس بیت شان کا پورا علاقہ جو ضرتان کے پڑوس میں یزرعیل کے نیچے واقع ہے، نیز بیت شان سے لے کر ابیل محولہ تک کا پورا علاقہ بشمول یُقمعام،

Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

بن جبر: جِلعاد میں رامات کا علاقہ بشمول یائیر بن منسّی کی بستیاں، پھر بسن میں ارجوب کا علاقہ۔ اِس میں 60 ایسے فصیل دار شہر شامل تھے جن کے دروازوں پر پیتل کے کنڈے لگے تھے،

The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

اخی نداب بن عِدّو: محنائم،

Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

سلیمان کی بیٹی باسمت کا شوہر اخی معض: نفتالی کا قبائلی علاقہ،

Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

بعنہ بن حوسی: آشر کا قبائلی علاقہ اور بعلوت،

Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

یہوسفط بن فروح: اِشکار کا قبائلی علاقہ،

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

سِمعی بن ایلہ: بن یمین کا قبائلی علاقہ،

Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

جبر بن اُوری: جِلعاد کا وہ علاقہ جس پر پہلے اموری بادشاہ سیحون اور بسن کے بادشاہ عوج کی حکومت تھی۔ اِس پورے علاقے پر صرف یہی ایک افسر مقرر تھا۔

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

اُس زمانے میں اسرائیل اور یہوداہ کے لوگ ساحل کی ریت کی مانند بےشمار تھے۔ لوگوں کو کھانے اور پینے کی سب چیزیں دست یاب تھیں، اور وہ خوش تھے۔

Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

سلیمان دریائے فرات سے لے کر فلستیوں کے علاقے اور مصری سرحد تک تمام ممالک پر حکومت کرتا تھا۔ اُس کے جیتے جی یہ ممالک اُس کے تابع رہے اور اُسے خراج دیتے تھے۔

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

سلیمان کے دربار کی روزانہ ضروریات یہ تھیں: تقریباً 5,000 کلو گرام باریک میدہ، تقریباً 10,000 کلو گرام عام میدہ،

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

10 موٹے تازے بَیل، چراگاہوں میں پلے ہوئے 20 عام بَیل، 100 بھیڑبکریاں، اور اِس کے علاوہ ہرن، غزال، مِرگ اور مختلف قسم کے موٹے تازے مرغ۔

Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

جتنے ممالک دریائے فرات کے مغرب میں تھے اُن سب پر سلیمان کی حکومت تھی، یعنی تِفسَح سے لے کر غزہ تک۔ کسی بھی پڑوسی ملک سے اُس کا جھگڑا نہیں تھا، بلکہ سب کے ساتھ صلح تھی۔

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

اُس کے جیتے جی پورے یہوداہ اور اسرائیل میں صلح سلامتی رہی۔ شمال میں دان سے لے کر جنوب میں بیرسبع تک ہر ایک سلامتی سے انگور کی اپنی بیل اور انجیر کے اپنے درخت کے سائے میں بیٹھ سکتا تھا۔

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.

اپنے رتھوں کے گھوڑوں کے لئے سلیمان نے 4,000 تھان بنوائے۔ اُس کے 12,000 گھوڑے تھے۔

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

بارہ ضلعوں پر مقرر افسر باقاعدگی سے سلیمان بادشاہ اور اُس کے دربار کی ضروریات پوری کرتے رہے۔ ہر ایک کو سال میں ایک ماہ کے لئے سب کچھ مہیا کرنا تھا۔ اُن کی محنت کی وجہ سے دربار میں کوئی کمی نہ ہوئی۔

And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

بادشاہ کی ہدایت کے مطابق وہ رتھوں کے گھوڑوں اور دوسرے گھوڑوں کے لئے درکار جَو اور بھوسا براہِ راست اُن کے تھانوں تک پہنچاتے تھے۔

Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

اللہ نے سلیمان کو بہت زیادہ حکمت اور سمجھ عطا کی۔ اُسے ساحل کی ریت جیسا وسیع علم حاصل ہوا۔

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

اُس کی حکمت اسرائیل کے مشرق میں رہنے والے اور مصر کے عالِموں سے کہیں زیادہ تھی۔

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

اِس لحاظ سے کوئی بھی اُس کے برابر نہیں تھا۔ وہ ایتان اِزراحی اور محول کے بیٹوں ہیمان، کلکول اور دردع پر بھی سبقت لے گیا تھا۔ اُس کی شہرت ارد گرد کے تمام ممالک میں پھیل گئی۔

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

اُس نے 3,000 کہاوتیں اور 1,005 گیت لکھ دیئے۔

And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

وہ تفصیل سے مختلف قسم کے پودوں کے بارے میں بات کر سکتا تھا، لبنان میں دیودار کے بڑے درخت سے لے کر چھوٹے پودے زوفا تک جو دیوار کی دراڑوں میں اُگتا ہے۔ وہ مہارت سے چوپایوں، پرندوں، رینگنے والے جانوروں اور مچھلیوں کی تفصیلات بھی بیان کر سکتا تھا۔

And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

چنانچہ تمام ممالک کے بادشاہوں نے اپنے سفیروں کو سلیمان کے پاس بھیج دیا تاکہ اُس کی حکمت سنیں۔

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
