Psalms 135

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

رب کی حمد ہو! رب کے نام کی ستائش کرو! اُس کی تمجید کرو، اے رب کے تمام خادمو،

Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

جو رب کے گھر میں، ہمارے خدا کی بارگاہوں میں کھڑے ہو۔

Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

رب کی حمد کرو، کیونکہ رب بھلا ہے۔ اُس کے نام کی مدح سرائی کرو، کیونکہ وہ پیارا ہے۔

For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

کیونکہ رب نے یعقوب کو اپنے لئے چن لیا، اسرائیل کو اپنی ملکیت بنا لیا ہے۔

For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

ہاں، مَیں نے جان لیا ہے کہ رب عظیم ہے، کہ ہمارا رب دیگر تمام معبودوں سے زیادہ عظیم ہے۔

Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

رب جو جی چاہے کرتا ہے، خواہ آسمان پر ہو یا زمین پر، خواہ سمندروں میں ہو یا گہرائیوں میں کہیں بھی ہو۔

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

وہ زمین کی انتہا سے بادل چڑھنے دیتا اور بجلی بارش کے لئے پیدا کرتا ہے، وہ ہَوا اپنے گوداموں سے نکال لاتا ہے۔

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

مصر میں اُس نے انسان و حیوان کے تمام پہلوٹھوں کو مار ڈالا۔

Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

اے مصر، اُس نے اپنے الٰہی نشان اور معجزات تیرے درمیان ہی کئے۔ تب فرعون اور اُس کے تمام ملازم اُن کا نشانہ بن گئے۔

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

اُس نے متعدد قوموں کو شکست دے کر طاقت ور بادشاہوں کو موت کے گھاٹ اُتار دیا۔

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

اموریوں کا بادشاہ سیحون، بسن کا بادشاہ عوج اور ملکِ کنعان کی تمام سلطنتیں نہ رہیں۔

And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

اُس نے اُن کا ملک اسرائیل کو دے کر فرمایا کہ آئندہ یہ میری قوم کی موروثی ملکیت ہو گا۔

Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

اے رب، تیرا نام ابدی ہے۔ اے رب، تجھے پشت در پشت یاد کیا جائے گا۔

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

کیونکہ رب اپنی قوم کا انصاف کر کے اپنے خادموں پر ترس کھائے گا۔

The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

دیگر قوموں کے بُت سونے چاندی کے ہیں، انسان کے ہاتھ نے اُنہیں بنایا۔

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

اُن کے منہ ہیں لیکن وہ بول نہیں سکتے، اُن کی آنکھیں ہیں لیکن وہ دیکھ نہیں سکتے۔

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

اُن کے کان ہیں لیکن وہ سن نہیں سکتے، اُن کے منہ میں سانس ہی نہیں ہوتی۔

They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

جو بُت بناتے ہیں وہ اُن کی مانند ہو جائیں، جو اُن پر بھروسا رکھتے ہیں وہ اُن جیسے بےحس و حرکت ہو جائیں۔

Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

اے اسرائیل کے گھرانے، رب کی ستائش کر۔ اے ہارون کے گھرانے، رب کی تمجید کر۔

Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

اے لاوی کے گھرانے، رب کی حمد و ثنا کر۔ اے رب کا خوف ماننے والو، رب کی ستائش کرو۔

Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

صیون سے رب کی حمد ہو۔ اُس کی حمد ہو جو یروشلم میں سکونت کرتا ہے۔ رب کی حمد ہو!
