Psalms 33

Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Співайте із радістю, праведні в Господі, бо щирим лицює хвала!

Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Хваліть Господа гуслами, співайте Йому з десятиструнною арфою,

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

заспівайте Йому нову пісню, гарно заграйте Йому з гуком сурем,

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

бо щире Господнєє слово, і кожен чин Його вірний!

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Правду та суд Він кохає, і Господньої милости повна земля!

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Словом Господнім учинене небо, а подихом уст Його все його військо.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Воду морську збирає Він, мов би до міху, безодні складає в коморах.

Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Буде боятися Господа ціла земля, всі мешканці всесвіту будуть лякатись Його,

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

бо сказав Він і сталось, наказав і з'явилось.

The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

Господь раду поганів понищить, понівечить мислі народів,

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

а задум Господній навіки стоятиме, думки Його серця на вічні віки!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Блаженний той люд, що Богом у нього Господь, блаженний народ, що Він вибрав його на спадок Собі!

The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

Господь споглядає з небес, і бачить усіх синів людських,

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

приглядається з місця оселі Своєї до всіх, хто замешкує землю:

He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

Хто створив серце кожного з них, наглядає всі їхні діла!

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Немає царя, що його многість війська спасає, не врятується велетень великістю сили,

An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

для спасіння той кінь ненадійний, і великістю сили своєї він не збереже,

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

ось око Господнє на тих, хто боїться Його, хто надію на милість Його покладає,

To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

щоб рятувати життя їхнє від смерти, і щоб за час голоду їх оживляти!

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

Душа наша надію складає на Господа, Він наша поміч і щит наш,

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

бо Ним радується наше серце, бо на Ймення святеє Його ми надію кладемо!

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Нехай Твоя милість, о Господи, буде на нас, коли покладаємо надію на Тебе!
