Psalms 139

O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

हे यहोवा, तूने मुझे परखा है। मेरे बारे में तू सब कुछ जानता है।

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

तू जानता है कि मैं कब बैठता और कब खड़ा होता हूँ। तू दूर रहते हुए भी मेरी मन की बात जानता है।

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

हे यहोवा, तुझको ज्ञान है कि मैं कहाँ जाता और कब लेटता हूँ। मैं जो कुछ करता हूँ सब को तू जानता है।

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

हे यहोवा. इससे पहले की शब्द मेरे मुख से निकले तुझको पता होता है कि मैं क्या कहना चाहता हूँ।

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

हे यहोवा, तू मेरे चारों ओर छाया है। मेरे आगे और पीछे भी तू अपना निज हाथ मेरे ऊपर हौले से रखता है।

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

मुझे अचरज है उन बातों पर जिनको तू जानता है। जिनका मेरे लिये समझना बहुत कठिन है।

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

हर जगह जहाँ भी मैं जाता हूँ, वहाँ तेरी आत्मा रची है। हे यहोवा, मैं तुझसे बचकर नहीं जा सकता।

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

हे यहोवा, यदि मैं आकाश पर जाऊँ वहाँ पर तू ही है। यदि मैं मृत्यु के देश पाताल में जाऊँ वहाँ पर भी तू है।

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

हे यहोवा, यदि मैं पूर्व में जहाँ सूर्य निकलता है जाऊँ वहाँ पर भी तू है।

Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

वहाँ तक भी तेरा दायाँ हाथ पहुँचाता है। और हाथ पकड़ कर मुझको ले चलता है।

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

हे यहोवा, सम्भव है, मैं तुझसे छिपने का जतन करुँ और कहने लगूँ, “दिन रात में बदल गया है तो निश्चय ही अंधकार मुझको ढक लेगा।”

Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

किन्तु यहोवा अन्धेरा भी तेरे लिये अंधकार नहीं है। तेरे लिये रात भी दिन जैसी उजली है।

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

हे यहोवा, तूने मेरी समूची देह को बनाया। तू मेरे विषय में सबकुछ जानता था जब मैं अभी माता की कोख ही में था।

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

हे यहोवा, तुझको उन सभी अचरज भरे कामों के लिये मेरा धन्यवाद, और मैं सचमुच जानता हूँ कि तू जो कुछ करता है वह आश्चर्यपूर्ण है।

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

मेरे विषय में तू सब कुछ जानता है। जब मैं अपनी माता की कोख में छिपा था, जब मेरी देह रूप ले रही थी तभी तूने मेरी हड्डियों को देखा।

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

हे यहोवा, तूने मेरी देह को मेरी माता के गर्भ में विकसते देखा। ये सभी बातें तेरी पुस्तक में लिखीं हैं। हर दिन तूने मुझ पर दृष्टी की। एक दिन भी तुझसे नहीं छूटा।

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

हे परमेश्वर, तेरे विचार मेरे लिये कितने महत्वपूर्ण हैं। तेरा ज्ञान अपरंपार है।

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

तू जो कुछ जानता है, उन सब को यदि मैं गिन सकूँ तो वे सभी धरती के रेत के कणों से अधिक होंगे। किन्तु यदि मैं उनको गिन पाऊँ तो भी मैं तेरे साथ में रहूँगा।

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

हे परमेश्वर, दुर्जन को नष्ट कर। उन हत्यारों को मुझसे दूर रख।

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

वे बुरे लोग तेरे लिये बुरी बातें कहते हैं। वे तेरे नाम की निन्दा करते हैं।

Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

हे यहोवा, मुझको उन लोगों से घृणा है! जो तुझ से घृणा करते हैं मुझको उन लोगों से बैर है जो तुझसे मुड़ जाते हैं।

I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

मुझको उनसे पूरी तरह घृणा है! तेरे शत्रु मेरे भी शत्रु हैं।

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

हे यहोवा, मुझ पर दृष्टि कर और मेरा मन जान ले। मुझ को परख ले और मेरा इरादा जान ले।

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

मुझ पर दृष्टि कर और देख कि मेरे विचार बुरे नहीं है। तू मुझको उस पथ पर ले चल जो सदा बना रहता है।
