Psalms 83

हे परमेश्वर, तू मौन मत रह! अपने कानों को बंद मत कर! हे परमेश्वर, कृपा करके कुछ बोल।

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

हे परमेश्वर, तेरे शत्रु तेरे विरोध में कुचक्र रच रहे हैं। तेरे शत्रु शीघ्र ही वार करेंगे।

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

वे तेरे भक्तों के विरूद्ध षड़यन्त्र रचते हैं। तेरे शत्रु उन लोगों के विरोध में जो तुझको प्यारे हैं योजनाएँ बना रहे हैं।

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

वे शत्रु कह रहे हैं, “आओ, हम उन लोगों को पूरी तरह मिटा डाले, फिर कोई भी व्यक्ति ‘इस्राएल’ का नाम याद नहीं करेगा।”

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

हे परमेश्वर, वे सभी लोग तेरे विरोध में और तेरे उस वाचा के विरोध में जो तूने हमसे किया है, युद्ध करने के लिये एक जुट हो गए।

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

ये शत्रु हमसे युद्ध करने के लिये एक जुट हुए हैं: एदोमी, इश्माएली, मोआबी और हाजिरा की संताने, गबाली और अम्मोनि, अमालेकी और पलिश्ती के लोग, और सूर के निवासी लोग। ये सभी लोग हमसे युद्ध करने जुट आये।

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

ये शत्रु हमसे युद्ध करने के लिये एक जुट हुए हैं: एदोमी, इश्माएली, मोआबी और हाजिरा की संताने, गबाली और अम्मोनि, अमालेकी और पलिश्ती के लोग, और सूर के निवासी लोग। ये सभी लोग हमसे युद्ध करने जुट आये।

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

यहाँ तक कि अश्शूरी भी उन लोगों से मिल गये। उन्होंने लूत के वंशजों को अति बलशाली बनाया।

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

हे परमेश्वर, तू शत्रु वैसे हरा जैसे तूने मिद्यानी लोगों, सिसरा, याबीन को किशोन नदी के पास हराया।

Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

तूने उन्हें एन्दोर में हराया। उनकी लाशें धरती पर पड़ी सड़ती रहीं।

Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

हे परमेश्वर, तू शत्रुओं के सेनापति को वैसे पराजित कर जैसे तूने ओरेब और जायेब के साथ किया था, कर जैसे तूने जेबह और सलमुन्ना के साथ किया।

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

हे परमेश्वर, वे लोग हमको धरती छोड़ने के लिये दबाना चाहते थे!

Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

उन लोगों को तू उखड़े हुए पौधा सा बना जिसको पवन उड़ा ले जाती है। उन लोगों को ऐसे बिखेर दे जैसे भूसे को आँधी बिखेर देती है।

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

शत्रु को ऐसे नष्ट कर जैसे वन को आग नष्ट कर देती है, और जंगली आग पहाड़ों को जला डालती है।

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

हे परमेश्वर, उन लोगों का पीछा कर भगा दे, जैसे आँधी से धूल उड़ जाती है। उनको कँपा और फूँक में उड़ा दे जैसे चक्रवात करता है।

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

हे परमेश्वर, उनको ऐसा पाठ पढ़ा दे, कि उनको अहसास हो जाये कि वे सचमुच दुर्बल हैं। तभी वे तेरे काम को पूजना चाहेंगे!

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

हे परमेश्वर, उन लोगों को भयभीत कर दे और सदा के लिये अपमानित करके उन्हें नष्ट कर दे।

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

वे लोग तभी जानेंगे कि तू परमेश्वर है। तभी वे जानेंगे तेरा नाम यहोवा है। तभी वे जानेंगे तू ही सारे जगत का परम परमेश्वर है!

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
