Psalms 147

यहोवा की प्रशंसा करो क्योंकि वह उत्तम है। हमारे परमेश्वर के प्रशंसा गीत गाओ। उसका गुणगान भला और सुखदायी है।

Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

यहोवा ने यरूशलेम को बनाया है। परमेश्वर इस्राएली लोगों को वापस छुड़ाकर ले आया जिन्हें बंदी बनाया गया था।

The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

परमेश्वर उनके टूटे मनों को चँगा किया करता और उनके घावों पर पट्टी बांधता है।

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

परमेश्वर सितारों को गिनता है और हर एक तारे का नाम जानता है।

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

हमारा स्वामी अति महान है। वह बहुत ही शक्तिशाली है। वे सीमाहीन बातें है जिनको वह जानता है।

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

यहोवा दीन जन को सहारा देता है। किन्तु वह दुष्ट को लज्जित किया करता है।

The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

यहोवा को धन्यवाद करो। हमारे परमेश्वर का गुणगान वीणा के संग करो।

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

परमेश्वर मेघों से अम्बर को भरता है। परमेश्वर धरती के लिये वर्षा करता है। परमेश्वर पहाड़ों पर घास उगाता है।

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

परमेश्वर पशुओं को चारा देता है, छोटी चिड़ियों को चुग्गा देता है।

He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

उनको युद्ध के घोड़े और शक्तिशाली सैनिक नहीं भाते हैं।

He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

यहोवा उन लोगों से प्रसन्न रहता है। जो उसकी आराधना करते हैं। यहोवा प्रसन्न हैं, ऐसे उन लोगों से जिनकी आस्था उसके सच्चे प्रेम में है।

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

हे यरूशलेम, यहोवा के गुण गाओ! सिय्योन, अपने परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा करो!

Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

हे यरूशलेम, तेरे फाटको को परमेश्वर सुदृढ़ करता है। तेरे नगर के लोगों को परमेश्वर आशीष देता है।

For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

परमेश्वर तेरे देश में शांति को लाया है। सो युद्ध में शत्रुओं ने तेरा अन्न नहीं लूटा। तेरे पास खाने को बहुत अन्न है।

He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

परमेश्वर धरती को आदेश देता है, और वह तत्काल पालन करती है।

He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

परमेश्वर पाला गिराता जब तक धरातल वैसा श्वेत नहीं होता जाता जैसा उजला ऊन होता है। परमेश्वर तुषार की वर्षा करता है, जो हवा के साथ धूल सी उड़ती है।

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

परमेश्वर हिम शिलाएँ गगन से गिराता है। कोई व्यक्ति उस शीत को सह नहीं पाता है।

He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

फिर परमेश्वर दूसरी आज्ञा देता है, और गर्म हवाएँ फिर बहने लग जाती हैं। बर्फ पिघलने लगती, और जल बहने लग जाता है।

He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

परमेश्वर ने निज आदेश याकूब को (इस्राएल को) दिये थे। परमेश्वर ने इस्राएल को निज विधी का विधान और नियमों को दिया।

He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

यहोवा ने किसी अन्य राष्ट्र के हेतु ऐसा नहीं किया। परमेश्वर ने अपने नियमों को, किसी अन्य जाति को नहीं सिखाया। यहोवा का यश गाओ।

He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
