Job 37

“हे अय्यूब, जब इन बातों के विषय में मैं सोचता हूँ, मेरा हृदय बहुत जोर से धड़कता है।

At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

हर कोई सुनों, परमेश्वर की वाणी बादल की गर्जन जैसी सुनाई देती है। सुनों गरजती हुई ध्वनि को जो परमेश्वर के मुख से आ रही है।

Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

परमेश्वर अपनी बिजली को सारे आकाश से होकर चमकने को भेजता है। वह सारी धरती के ऊपर चमका करती है।

He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

बिजली के कौंधने के बाद परमेश्वर की गर्जन भरी वाणी सुनी जा सकती है। परमेश्वर अपनी अद्भुत वाणी के साथ गरजता है। जब बिजली कौंधती है तब परमेश्वर की वाणी गरजती है।

After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

परमेश्वर की गरजती हुई वाणी अद्भुत है। वह ऐसे बड़े कर्म करता है, जिन्हें हम समझ नहीं पाते हैं।

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

परमेश्वर हिम से कहता है, ‘तुम धरती पर गिरो’ और परमेश्वर वर्षा से कहता है, ‘तुम धरती पर जोर से बरसो।’

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

परमेश्वर ऐसा इसलिये करता है कि सभी व्यक्ति जिनको उसने बनाया है जान जाये कि वह क्या कर सकता है। वह उसका प्रमाण है।

He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

पशु अपने खोहों में भाग जाते हैं, और वहाँ ठहरे रहते हैं।

Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

दक्षिण से तूफान आते हैं, और उत्तर से सर्दी आया करती है।

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

परमेश्वर का श्वास बर्फ को रचता है, और सागरों को जमा देता है।

By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

परमेश्वर बादलों को जल से भरा करता है, और बिजली को बादल के द्वारा बिखेरता है।

Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

परमेश्वर बादलों को आने देता है कि वह उड़ कर सब कहीं धरती के ऊपर छा जाये और फिर बादल वहीं करते हैं जिसे करने का आदेश परमेश्वर ने उन्हें दिया है।

And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

परमेश्वर बाढ़ लाकर लोगों को दण्ड देने अथवा धरती को जल देकर अपना प्रेम दर्शाने के लिये बादलों को भेजता है।

He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

“अय्यूब, तू क्षण भर के लिये रुक और सुन। रुक जा और सोच उन अद्भुत कार्यो के बारे में जिन्हें परमेश्वर किया करता हैं।

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

अय्यूब, क्या तू जानता है कि परमेश्वर बादलों पर कैसे काबू रखता है क्या तू जानता है कि परमेश्वर अपनी बिजली को क्यों चमकाता है

Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

क्या तू यह जानता है कि आकाश में बादल कैसे लटके रहते हैं। ये एक उदाहरण मात्र हैं। परमेश्वर का ज्ञान सम्पूर्ण है और ये बादल परमेश्वर की अद्भुत कृति हैं।

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

किन्तु अय्यूब, तुम ये बातें नहीं जानते। तुम बस इतना जानते है कि तुमको पसीना आता है और तेरे वस्त्र तुझ से चिपके रहते हैं, और सब कुछ शान्त व स्थिर रहता है, जब दक्षिण से गर्म हवा आती है।

How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

अय्यूब, क्या तू परमेश्वर की मदद आकाश को फैलाने में और उसे झलकाये गये दर्पण की तरह चमकाने में कर सकता है?

Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

“अय्यूब, हमें बता कि हम परमेश्वर से क्या कहें। हम उससे कुछ भी कहने को सोच नहीं पाते क्योंकि हम पर्याप्त कुछ भी नहीं जानते।

Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

क्या परमेश्वर से यह कह दिया जाये कि मैं उस के विरोध में बोलना चाहता हूँ। यह वैसे ही होगा जैसे अपना विनाश माँगना।

Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

देख, कोई भी व्यक्ति चमकते हुए सूर्य को नहीं देख सकता। जब हवा बादलों को उड़ा देती है उसके बाद वह बहुत उजला और चमचमाता हुआ होता है।

And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

और परमेश्वर भी उसके समान है। परमेश्वर की सुनहरी महिमा चमकती है। परमेश्वर अद्भुत महिमा के साथ उत्तर से आता है।

Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर सचमुच महान है, हम परमेश्वर को नहीं जान सकते परमेश्वर सदा ही लोगों के साथ न्याय और निष्पक्षता के साथ व्यवहार करता हैं।

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

इसलिए लोग परमेश्वर का आदर करते हैं, किन्तु परमेश्वर उन अभिमानी लोगों को आदर नहीं देता है जो स्वयं को बुद्धिमान समझते हैं।”

Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
