Psalms 83

(По слав. 82) Песен. Псалм на Асаф. Боже, недей мълча, не замлъквай, не бъди безмълвен, Боже!

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

Защото, ето, враговете Ти вилнеят и онези, които Те мразят, надигнаха глава.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

Правят коварни планове против Твоя народ и се наговарят против скритите в Теб.

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

Казаха: Елате да ги изтребим като народ, за да не се споменава вече името на Израил!

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Защото единодушно се наговориха, направиха съюз против Теб —

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

шатрите на Едом и исмаиляните, Моав и агаряните,

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

Гевал и Амон, и Амалик, филистимците с жителите на Тир;

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

и Асирия се присъедини към тях, станаха помощници на Лотовите синове. (Села.)

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

Постъпи с тях както с Мадиам, както със Сисара, както с Явин при потока Кисон,

Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

които загинаха при Ендор, станаха тор на земята!

Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

Направи благородните им като Орив и Зив, да, всичките им князе — като Зевей и Салмана,

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

които казаха: Нека си присвоим Божиите жилища.

Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

Боже мой, направи ги като праха във вихрушката, като плява пред вятъра!

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

Както огън изгаря дърветата и както пламък запалва планините,

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

така ги гонй с урагана Си и ги уплаши с бурята Си!

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

Покрий лицата им с позор, за да потърсят Името Ти, ГОСПОДИ!

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

Нека се посрамят и ужасят навеки, нека се покрият със срам и погинат;

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

за да познаят, че Ти, чието Име е ГОСПОД, единствен си Всевишният над цялата земя!

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
