II Samuel 23

А това са последните думи на Давид: Давид, синът на Есей, заяви; и мъжът, който бе издигнат нависоко, помазаникът на Бога на Яков и сладкият псалмист на Израил заяви:

Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

Духът на ГОСПОДА говори чрез мен и Неговото слово Е на езика ми.

The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

Израилевият Бог каза, Израилевата Скала ми говори: Който владее праведно над хората, който владее в страх от Бога,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

ще бъде като светлината на утрото, когато слънцето изгрява, безоблачно утро — от блясъка му след дъжда никне зеленина от земята.

And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Наистина, не е ли такъв домът ми пред Бога? Той е направил с мен вечен завет, подреден във всичко и сигурен. Защото това е цялото ми спасение и цялото ми желание — няма ли да го направи да расте?

Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

Но злите всички са като изхвърлени тръни, защото не се хващат с ръка,

But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

а човекът, който ги докосва, се въоръжава с желязо и дръжка на копие; и те ще бъдат напълно изгорени с огън на мястото си.

But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

Ето имената на силните мъже, които имаше Давид: тахмонецът Йосев-Васевет, главен военачалник; той е Адинон, есонецът, който уби осемстотин мъже в един бой.

These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

След него беше Елеазар, син на Додо, син на Ахоих, един от тримата силни мъже с Давид. Когато те предизвикаха някои от филистимците, които бяха събрани там за бой, и израилевите мъже се оттеглиха,

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

той стана и избиваше филистимците, докато ръката му се изтощи и ръката му залепна за меча. И ГОСПОД извърши голямо избавление в онзи ден. А народът се върна след него само за да ограби убитите.

He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

А след него беше Сама, син на арареца Агий. Филистимците се бяха събрали в един полк, а там имаше една нива, пълна с леща; и народът побягна от филистимците.

And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.

Тогава той застана в средата на нивата и защити, и разби филистимците. И ГОСПОД извърши голямо избавление.

But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.

И трима от тридесетте началници слязоха и дойдоха при Давид при пещерата Одолам по време на жетвата. А един филистимски полк се беше разположил на стан в долината Рафаим.

And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.

Тогава Давид беше в крепостта, а гарнизонът на филистимците беше тогава във Витлеем.

And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Beth–lehem.

И Давид пожела и каза: Кой ще ми даде да пийна вода от витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата!

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth–lehem, which is by the gate!

Тогава тримата силни мъже направиха пробив във филистимския стан и наляха вода от витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата, взеха и я донесоха на Давид. Но той не пожела да я изпие, а я изля на ГОСПОДА.

And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth–lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

И каза: Далеч от мен, ГОСПОДИ, да сторя това! Да пия ли кръвта на мъжете, които отидоха с опасност за живота си? И не пожела да я пие. Това извършиха тримата силни мъже.

And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

И Ависей, братът на Йоав, син на Саруя, беше главният от тримата. Той вдигна копието си срещу триста души и ги уби, и беше именит между тримата.

And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

Не беше ли той най-почитаният от тримата? Затова им стана началник; но не достигна трима.

Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

И Ваная, син на Йодая, син на един храбър мъж, велик на дела, от Кавсеил. Той уби двамата лъвовидни мъже от Моав. Той също слезе и уби лъва в рова в един снежен ден.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

Той уби и един египтянин, внушителен мъж. Египтянинът имаше копие в ръката си, но той слезе при него с тояга, изтръгна копието от ръката на египтянина и го уби със собственото му копие.

And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

Тези неща извърши Ваная, синът на Йодая, и беше именит между тримата силни мъже.

These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.

Той беше почитан повече от тридесетте, но не достигна трима. И Давид го постави в близкото си обкръжение.

He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

Асаил, братът на Йоав, беше между тридесетте, и Елханан, синът на Додо от Витлеем,

Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth–lehem,

ародецът Сама, ародецът Елика,

Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

фалетецът Хелис, Ирас, синът на текоеца Екис,

Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

анатотецът Авиезер, кусатецът Мевунай,

Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

ахоаецът Салмон, нетофатецът Маарай,

Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

Хелев, синът на нетофатеца Ваана, Итай, синът на Ривай от Гавая на вениаминовите синове,

Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,

пиратонецът Ваная, Идай от потоците на Гаас,

Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,

аравецът Ави-Алвон, вауримецът Азмавет,

Abi–albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

саалвонецът Елиава, синовете на Ясон, Йонатан,

Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

арарецът Сама, Ахиам, синът на арареца Сарар,

Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,

Елифелет, синът на Аасве, синът на маахатеца, Елиам, синът на гилонеца Ахитофел,

Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

кармилецът Есрай, аравецът Фаарай,

Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

Игал, синът на Натан от Сова, гадецът Ваний,

Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

амонецът Силек, виротецът Нахарай, оръженосецът на Йоав, сина на Саруя,

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armourbearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

етерецът Ирас, етерецът Гарив,

Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,

хетеецът Урия; всичко тридесет и седем.

Uriah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.
