Psalms 83

گیت۔ آسف کا زبور۔ اے اللہ، خاموش نہ رہ! اے اللہ، چپ نہ رہ!

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

دیکھ، تیرے دشمن شور مچا رہے ہیں، تجھ سے نفرت کرنے والے اپنا سر تیرے خلاف اُٹھا رہے ہیں۔

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

تیری قوم کے خلاف وہ چالاک منصوبے باندھ رہے ہیں، جو تیری آڑ میں چھپ گئے ہیں اُن کے خلاف سازشیں کر رہے ہیں۔

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

وہ کہتے ہیں، ”آؤ، ہم اُنہیں مٹا دیں تاکہ قوم نیست ہو جائے اور اسرائیل کا نام و نشان باقی نہ رہے۔“

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

کیونکہ وہ آپس میں صلاح مشورہ کرنے کے بعد دلی طور پر متحد ہو گئے ہیں، اُنہوں نے تیرے ہی خلاف عہد باندھا ہے۔

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

اُن میں ادوم کے خیمے، اسماعیلی، موآب، ہاجری،

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

جبال، عمون، عمالیق، فلستیہ اور صور کے باشندے شامل ہو گئے ہیں۔

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

اسور بھی اُن میں شریک ہو کر لوط کی اولاد کو سہارا دے رہا ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

اُن کے ساتھ وہی سلوک کر جو تُو نے مِدیانیوں سے یعنی قیسون ندی پر سیسرا اور یابین سے کیا۔

Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

کیونکہ وہ عین دور کے پاس ہلاک ہو کر کھیت میں گوبر بن گئے۔

Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

اُن کے شرفا کے ساتھ وہی برتاؤ کر جو تُو نے عوریب اور زئیب سے کیا۔ اُن کے تمام سردار زبح اور ضلمُنّع کی مانند بن جائیں،

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

جنہوں نے کہا، ”آؤ، ہم اللہ کی چراگاہوں پر قبضہ کریں۔“

Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

اے میرے خدا، اُنہیں لُڑھک بوٹی اور ہَوا میں اُڑتے ہوئے بھوسے کی مانند بنا دے۔

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

جس طرح آگ پورے جنگل میں پھیل جاتی اور ایک ہی شعلہ پہاڑوں کو جُھلسا دیتا ہے،

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

اُسی طرح اپنی آندھی سے اُن کا تعاقب کر، اپنے طوفان سے اُن کو دہشت زدہ کر دے۔

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

اے رب، اُن کا منہ کالا کر تاکہ وہ تیرا نام تلاش کریں۔

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

وہ ہمیشہ تک شرمندہ اور حواس باختہ رہیں، وہ شرم سار ہو کر ہلاک ہو جائیں۔

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

تب ہی وہ جان لیں گے کہ تُو ہی جس کا نام رب ہے اللہ تعالیٰ یعنی پوری دنیا کا مالک ہے۔

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
