Psalms 9

I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

داؤد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ طرز: علاموت لبّین۔ اے رب، مَیں پورے دل سے تیری ستائش کروں گا، تیرے تمام معجزات کا بیان کروں گا۔

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

مَیں شادمان ہو کر تیری خوشی مناؤں گا۔ اے اللہ تعالیٰ، مَیں تیرے نام کی تمجید میں گیت گاؤں گا۔

When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

جب میرے دشمن پیچھے ہٹ جائیں گے تو وہ ٹھوکر کھا کر تیرے حضور تباہ ہو جائیں گے۔

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

کیونکہ تُو نے میرا انصاف کیا ہے، تُو تخت پر بیٹھ کر راست منصف ثابت ہوا ہے۔

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

تُو نے اقوام کو ملامت کر کے بےدینوں کو ہلاک کر دیا، اُن کا نام و نشان ہمیشہ کے لئے مٹا دیا ہے۔

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

دشمن تباہ ہو گیا، ابد تک ملبے کا ڈھیر بن گیا ہے۔ تُو نے شہروں کو جڑ سے اُکھاڑ دیا ہے، اور اُن کی یاد تک باقی نہیں رہے گی۔

But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

لیکن رب ہمیشہ تک تخت نشین رہے گا، اور اُس نے اپنے تخت کو عدالت کرنے کے لئے کھڑا کیا ہے۔

And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

وہ راستی سے دنیا کی عدالت کرے گا، انصاف سے اُمّتوں کا فیصلہ کرے گا۔

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

رب مظلوموں کی پناہ گاہ ہے، ایک قلعہ جس میں وہ مصیبت کے وقت محفوظ رہتے ہیں۔

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

اے رب، جو تیرا نام جانتے وہ تجھ پر بھروسا رکھتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ جو تیرے طالب ہیں اُنہیں تُو نے کبھی ترک نہیں کیا۔

Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

رب کی تمجید میں گیت گاؤ جو صیون پہاڑ پر تخت نشین ہے، اُمّتوں میں وہ کچھ سناؤ جو اُس نے کیا ہے۔

When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.

کیونکہ جو مقتولوں کا انتقام لیتا ہے وہ مصیبت زدوں کی چیخیں نظرانداز نہیں کرتا۔

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

اے رب، مجھ پر رحم کر! میری اُس تکلیف پر غور کر جو نفرت کرنے والے مجھے پہنچا رہے ہیں۔ مجھے موت کے دروازوں میں سے نکال کر اُٹھا لے

That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

تاکہ مَیں صیون بیٹی کے دروازوں میں تیری ستائش کر کے وہ کچھ سناؤں جو تُو نے میرے لئے کیا ہے، تاکہ مَیں تیری نجات کی خوشی مناؤں۔

The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

اقوام اُس گڑھے میں خود گر گئی ہیں جو اُنہوں نے دوسروں کو پکڑنے کے لئے کھودا تھا۔ اُن کے اپنے پاؤں اُس جال میں پھنس گئے ہیں جو اُنہوں نے دوسروں کو پھنسانے کے لئے بچھا دیا تھا۔

The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

رب نے انصاف کر کے اپنا اظہار کیا تو بےدین اپنے ہاتھ کے پھندے میں اُلجھ گیا۔ (ہگایون کا طرز۔ سِلاہ)

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

بےدین پاتال میں اُتریں گے، جو اُمّتیں اللہ کو بھول گئی ہیں وہ سب وہاں جائیں گی۔

For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

کیونکہ وہ ضرورت مندوں کو ہمیشہ تک نہیں بھولے گا، مصیبت زدوں کی اُمید ابد تک جاتی نہیں رہے گی۔

Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

اے رب، اُٹھ کھڑا ہو تاکہ انسان غالب نہ آئے۔ بخش دے کہ تیرے حضور اقوام کی عدالت کی جائے۔

Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

اے رب، اُنہیں دہشت زدہ کر تاکہ اقوام جان لیں کہ انسان ہی ہیں۔ (سِلاہ)
