I Chronicles 12

Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.

ذیل کے آدمی صِقلاج میں داؤد کے ساتھ مل گئے، اُس وقت جب وہ ساؤل بن قیس سے چھپا رہتا تھا۔ یہ اُن فوجیوں میں سے تھے جو جنگ میں داؤد کے ساتھ مل کر لڑتے تھے

They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.

اور بہترین تیرانداز تھے، کیونکہ یہ نہ صرف دہنے بلکہ بائیں ہاتھ سے بھی مہارت سے تیر اور فلاخن کا پتھر چلا سکتے تھے۔ اِن آدمیوں میں سے درجِ ذیل بن یمین کے قبیلے اور ساؤل کے خاندان سے تھے۔

The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,

اُن کا راہنما اخی عزر، پھر یوآس (دونوں سماعہ جِبعاتی کے بیٹے تھے)، یزی ایل اور فلط (دونوں ازماوت کے بیٹے تھے)، براکہ، یاہو عنتوتی،

And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,

اِسماعیاہ جِبعونی جو داؤد کے 30 افسروں کا ایک سورما اور لیڈر تھا، یرمیاہ، یحزی ایل، یوحنان، یوزبد جدیراتی،

Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

اِلعوزی، یریموت، بعلیاہ، سمریاہ اور سفطیاہ خروفی۔

Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,

قورح کے خاندان میں سے اِلقانہ، یِسیاہ، عزرایل، یوعزر اور یسوبعام داؤد کے ساتھ تھے۔

And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

اِن کے علاوہ یروحام جدوری کے بیٹے یوعیلہ اور زبدیاہ بھی تھے۔

And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

جد کے قبیلے سے بھی کچھ بہادر اور تجربہ کار فوجی ساؤل سے الگ ہو کر داؤد کے ساتھ مل گئے جب وہ ریگستان کے قلعے میں تھا۔ یہ مرد مہارت سے ڈھال اور نیزہ استعمال کر سکتے تھے۔ اُن کے چہرے شیرببر کے چہروں کی مانند تھے، اور وہ پہاڑی علاقے میں غزالوں کی طرح تیز چل سکتے تھے۔

Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

اُن کا لیڈر عزر ذیل کے دس آدمیوں پر مقرر تھا: عبدیاہ، اِلیاب،

Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

مِسمنّہ، یرمیاہ،

Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

عتّی، اِلی ایل،

Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

یوحنان، اِلزبد،

Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.

یرمیاہ اور مکبنّی۔

These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.

جد کے یہ مرد سب اعلیٰ فوجی افسر بن گئے۔ اُن میں سے سب سے کمزور آدمی سَو عام فوجیوں کا مقابلہ کر سکتا تھا جبکہ سب سے طاقت ور آدمی ہزار کا مقابلہ کر سکتا تھا۔

These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.

اِن ہی نے بہار کے موسم میں دریائے یردن کو پار کیا، جب وہ کناروں سے باہر آ گیا تھا، اور مشرق اور مغرب کی وادیوں کو بند کر رکھا۔

And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.

بن یمین اور یہوداہ کے قبیلوں کے کچھ مرد داؤد کے پہاڑی قلعے میں آئے۔

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

داؤد باہر نکل کر اُن سے ملنے گیا اور پوچھا، ”کیا آپ سلامتی سے میرے پاس آئے ہیں؟ کیا آپ میری مدد کرنا چاہتے ہیں؟ اگر ایسا ہے تو مَیں آپ کا اچھا ساتھی رہوں گا۔ لیکن اگر آپ مجھے دشمنوں کے حوالے کرنے کے لئے آئے ہیں حالانکہ مجھ سے کوئی بھی ظلم نہیں ہوا ہے تو ہمارے باپ دادا کا خدا اِسے دیکھ کر آپ کو سزا دے۔“

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

پھر روح القدس 30 افسروں کے راہنما عماسی پر نازل ہوا، اور اُس نے کہا، ”اے داؤد، ہم تیرے ہی لوگ ہیں۔ اے یسّی کے بیٹے، ہم تیرے ساتھ ہیں۔ سلامتی، سلامتی تجھے حاصل ہو، اور سلامتی اُنہیں حاصل ہو جو تیری مدد کرتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ تیرا خدا تیری مدد کرے گا۔“ یہ سن کر داؤد نے اُنہیں قبول کر کے اپنے چھاپہ مار دستوں پر مقرر کیا۔

And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.

منسّی کے قبیلے کے کچھ مرد بھی ساؤل سے الگ ہو کر داؤد کے پاس آئے۔ اُس وقت وہ فلستیوں کے ساتھ مل کر ساؤل سے لڑنے جا رہا تھا، لیکن بعد میں اُسے میدانِ جنگ میں آنے کی اجازت نہ ملی۔ کیونکہ فلستی سرداروں نے آپس میں مشورہ کرنے کے بعد اُسے یہ کہہ کر واپس بھیج دیا کہ خطرہ ہے کہ یہ ہمیں میدانِ جنگ میں چھوڑ کر اپنے پرانے مالک ساؤل سے دوبارہ مل جائے۔ پھر ہم تباہ ہو جائیں گے۔

As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.

جب داؤد صِقلاج واپس جا رہا تھا تو منسّی کے قبیلے کے درجِ ذیل افسر ساؤل سے الگ ہو کر اُس کے ساتھ ہو لئے: عدنہ، یوزبد، یدیع ایل، میکائیل، یوزبد، اِلیہو اور ضِلّتی۔ منسّی میں ہر ایک کو ہزار ہزار فوجیوں پر مقرر کیا گیا تھا۔

And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.

اُنہوں نے لُوٹنے والے عمالیقی دستوں کو پکڑنے میں داؤد کی مدد کی، کیونکہ وہ سب دلیر اور قابل فوجی تھے۔ سب اُس کی فوج میں افسر بن گئے۔

For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.

روز بہ روز لوگ داؤد کی مدد کرنے کے لئے آتے رہے، اور ہوتے ہوتے اُس کی فوج اللہ کی فوج جیسی بڑی ہو گئی۔

And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.

درجِ ذیل اُن تمام فوجیوں کی فہرست ہے جو حبرون میں داؤد کے پاس آئے تاکہ اُسے ساؤل کی جگہ بادشاہ بنائیں، جس طرح رب نے حکم دیا تھا۔

The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.

یہوداہ کے قبیلے کے ڈھال اور نیزے سے لیس 6,800 مرد تھے۔

Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

شمعون کے قبیلے کے 7,100 تجربہ کار فوجی تھے۔

Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.

لاوی کے قبیلے کے 4,600 مرد تھے۔

And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;

اُن میں ہارون کے خاندان کا سرپرست یہویدع بھی شامل تھا جس کے ساتھ 3,700 آدمی تھے۔

And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.

صدوق نامی ایک دلیر اور جوان فوجی بھی شامل تھا۔ اُس کے ساتھ اُس کے اپنے خاندان کے 22 افسر تھے۔

And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.

ساؤل کے قبیلے بن یمین کے بھی 3,000 مرد تھے، لیکن اِس قبیلے کے اکثر فوجی اب تک ساؤل کے خاندان کے ساتھ لپٹے رہے۔

And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.

افرائیم کے قبیلے کے 20,800 فوجی تھے۔ سب اپنے خاندانوں میں اثر و رسوخ رکھنے والے تھے۔

And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.

منسّی کے آدھے قبیلے کے 18,000 مرد تھے۔ اُنہیں داؤد کو بادشاہ بنانے کے لئے چن لیا گیا تھا۔

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

اِشکار کے قبیلے کے 200 افسر اپنے دستوں کے ساتھ تھے۔ یہ لوگ وقت کی ضرورت سمجھ کر جانتے تھے کہ اسرائیل کو کیا کرنا ہے۔

Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.

زبولون کے قبیلے کے 50,000 تجربہ کار فوجی تھے۔ وہ ہر ہتھیار سے لیس اور پوری وفاداری سے داؤد کے لئے لڑنے کے لئے تیار تھے۔

And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.

نفتالی کے قبیلے کے 1,000 افسر تھے۔ اُن کے تحت ڈھال اور نیزے سے مسلح 37,000 آدمی تھے۔

And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.

دان کے قبیلے کے 28,600 مرد تھے جو سب لڑنے کے لئے مستعد تھے۔

And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.

آشر کے قبیلے کے 40,000 مرد تھے جو سب لڑنے کے لئے تیار تھے۔

And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.

دریائے یردن کے مشرق میں آباد قبیلوں روبن، جد اور منسّی کے آدھے حصے کے 1,20,000 مرد تھے۔ ہر ایک ہر قسم کے ہتھیار سے لیس تھا۔

All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.

سب ترتیب سے حبرون آئے تاکہ پورے عزم کے ساتھ داؤد کو پورے اسرائیل کا بادشاہ بنائیں۔ باقی تمام اسرائیلی بھی متفق تھے کہ داؤد ہمارا بادشاہ بن جائے۔

And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.

یہ فوجی تین دن تک داؤد کے پاس رہے جس دوران اُن کے قبائلی بھائی اُنہیں کھانے پینے کی چیزیں مہیا کرتے رہے۔

Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.

قریب کے رہنے والوں نے بھی اِس میں اُن کی مدد کی۔ اِشکار، زبولون اور نفتالی تک کے لوگ اپنے گدھوں، اونٹوں، خچروں اور بَیلوں پر کھانے کی چیزیں لاد کر وہاں پہنچے۔ میدہ، انجیر اور کشمش کی ٹکیاں، مَے، تیل، بَیل اور بھیڑبکریاں بڑی مقدار میں حبرون لائی گئیں، کیونکہ تمام اسرائیلی خوشی منا رہے تھے۔
