Psalms 33

Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

हे सज्जन लोगों, यहोवा में आनन्द मनाओ! सज्जनो सत पुरुषों, उसकी स्तुति करो!

Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

वीणा बजाओ और उसकी स्तुति करो! यहोवा के लिए दस तार वाले सांरगी बजाओ।

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

अब उसके लिये नया गीत गाओ। खुशी की धुन सुन्दरता से बजाओ!

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

परमेश्वर का वचन सत्य है। जो भी वह करता है उसका तुम भरोसा कर सकते हो।

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

नेकी और निष्पक्षता परमेश्वर को भाती है। यहोवा ने अपने निज करुणा से इस धरती को भर दिया है।

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

यहोवा ने आदेश दिया और सृष्टि तुरंत अस्तित्व में आई। परमेश्वर के श्वास ने धरती पर हर वस्तु रची।

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

परमेश्वर ने सागर में एक ही स्थान पर जल समेटा। वह सागर को अपने स्थान पर रखता है।

Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

धरती के हर मनुष्य को यहोवा का आदर करना और डरना चाहिए। इस विश्व में जो भी मनुष्य बसे हैं, उनको चाहिए कि वे उससे डरें।

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

क्योंकि परमेश्वर को केवल बात भर कहनी है, और वह बात तुरंत घट जाती है। यदि वह किसी को रुकने का आदेश दे, तो वह तुरंत थम दाती है।

The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

परमेश्वर चाहे तो सभी सुझाव व्यर्थ करे। वह किसी भी जन के सब कुचक्रों को व्यर्थ कर सकता है।

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

किन्तु यहोवा के उपदेश सदा ही खरे होते है। उसकी योजनाएँ पीढी पर पीढी खरी होती हैं।

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

धन्य हैं वे मनुष्य जिनका परमेश्वर यहोवा है। परमेश्वर ने उन्हें अपने ही मनुष्य होने को चुना है।

The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

यहोवा स्वर्ग से नीचे देखता रहता है। वह सभी लोगों को देखता रहता है।

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

वह ऊपर ऊँचे पर संस्थापित आसन से धरती पर रहने वाले सब मनुष्यों को देखता रहता है।

He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

परमेश्वर ने हर किसी का मन रचा है। सो कोई क्या सोच रहा है वह समझता है।

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

राजा की रक्षा उसके महाबल से नहीं होती है, और कोई सैनिक अपने निज शक्ति से सुरक्षित नहीं रहता।

An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

युद्ध में सचमुच अश्वबल विजय नहीं देता। सचमुच तुम उनकी शक्ति से बच नहीं सकते।

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

जो जन यहोवा का अनुसरण करते हैं, उन्हें यहोवा देखता है और रखवाली करता है। जो मनुष्य उसकी आराधना करते हैं, उनको उसका महान प्रेम बचाता है।

To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

उन लोगों को मृत्यु से बचाता है। वे जब भूखे होते तब वह उन्हें शक्ति देता है।

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

इसलिए हम यहोवा की बाट जोहेंगे। वह हमारी सहायता और हमारी ढाल है।

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

परमेश्वर मुझको आनन्दित करता है। मुझे सचमुच उसके पवित्र नाम पर भरोसा है।

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

हे यहोवा, हम सचमुच तेरी आराधना करते हैं! सो तू हम पर अपना महान प्रेम दिखा।
