Psalms 9

I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

Slavim te, Jahve, svim srcem svojim, ispovijedam sva čudesna djela tvoja.

When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

Radujem se i kličem tebi, pjevam imenu tvome, Svevišnji! $BET

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

Dušmani moji natrag krenuše, padoše i pred licem tvojim pogiboše.

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

Jer ti se zauze za moje pravo i parbu moju, ti sjede na prijesto - sudac pravedan: $GIMEL

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

ti pokara pogane, pogubi bezbošca, ime im izbrisa dovijeka.

But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

Dušmani klonuše, smrvljeni zauvijek, ti im gradove razori - nesta im spomena. $HE

And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

Ali Jahve dovijeka stoluje, postavi prijesto svoj da sudi:

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

sam po pravdi sudi krug zemaljski, izreče pucima osudu pravednu. $VAU

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Jahve je tvrđava tlačenom, tvrđava spasa u danima tjeskobe.

Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

Nek' se uzdaju u te koji znaju ime tvoje, jer ne ostavljaš onih što ljube tebe, o Jahve. $ZAJIN

When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.

Pjevajte Jahvi koji prebiva na Sionu, razglašujte među pucima djela njegova,

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

jer ih se spomenu kao osvetnik krvi i siromaškog jauka ne zaboravi. $HET

That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

Smiluj mi se, Jahve: pogledaj nevolju u koju me vrgoše neprijatelji moji, od vrata smrti izbavi me

The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

da naviještam sve hvale tvoje na vratima kćeri Sionske, da radostan kličem zbog spasenja tvoga. $TET

The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

Pogani padoše u jamu koju sami iskopaše, zamka koju potajno staviše uhvati nogu njihovu.

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Jahve se iskaza i sud održa; grešnik se spleo u djela svoja. $JOD

For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

Nek' grešnici odu u Podzemlje, svi pogani što zaboraviše Boga. $KAF

Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

Jer siromah neće pasti u zaborav zauvijek, ufanje ubogih neće biti zaludu dovijeka.

Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

Ustani, Jahve, da se ne osili čovjek, nek' pogani budu osuđeni pred tobom! [ (Psalms 9:21) Strah im, o Jahve, utjeraj, nek' spoznaju pogani da su smrtnici! ]
