I Corinthians 14

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

Стремете се към любовта; и копнейте и за духовните дарби, а особено за дарбата да пророкувате.

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Защото, който говори на език, той не говори на хора, а на Бога, защото никой не го разбира; но в духа говори тайни.

But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

А който пророкува, той говори на хората за изграждане и увещание, и утеха.

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Който говори на език, изгражда себе си; а който пророкува, изгражда църквата.

I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

Желал бих всички вие да говорите на езици, а още повече да пророкувате; а който пророкува, е по-горен от този, който говори на езици, освен ако тълкува, за да се изгражда църквата.

Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

Но сега, братя, ако дойда при вас и говоря на езици, какво ще ви ползувам, освен ако не ви съобщя или откровение, или знание, или пророчество, или поучение?

And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

Дори бездушните неща като свирка или гъдулка, когато издават звук, ако не се различават тоновете им, как ще се познае какво свирят със свирката или с гъдулката?

For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

Защото и ако тръбата издадеше неопределен звук, кой би се приготвил за бой?

So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

Също така и вие, ако не изговаряте с езика разбираеми думи, как ще се познае какво говорите? Защото ще говорите на вятъра.

There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

Има например толкова вида езици на света; и нито един от тях не е без значение.

Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

И така, ако аз не разбера значението на езика, ще бъда другоезичен за този, който говори, и този, който говори, ще бъде другоезичен за мен.

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

Така и вие, понеже копнеете за духовните дарби, старайте се да се преумножат те у вас за изграждане на църквата.

Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

Затова, който говори на език, нека се моли за дарбата и да тълкува.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

Защото, ако се моля на език, духът ми се моли, но умът ми не дава плод.

What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Тогава какво? Ще се моля с духа си, но ще се моля и с ума си; ще пея с духа си, но ще пея и с ума си.

Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

Иначе, ако славиш с духа си, как ще каже: Амин! на твоето благодарение онзи, който е в положението на неучения, като не знае какво говориш?

For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

Защото ти наистина благодариш добре, но другият не се изгражда.

I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

Благодаря на моя Бог, че аз говоря езици повече от всички вас;

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

но в църквата предпочитам да изговоря пет думи с ума си, за да наставя и други, а не десет хиляди думи на език.

Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.

Братя, не бъдете деца по ум, но бъдете невръстни в злобата, а по ум бъдете пълнолетни.

In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

В закона е писано: "Чрез другоезични хора и чрез устните на чужденци ще говоря на този народ, но и така няма да Ме послушат", казва Господ.

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

И така, езиците не са белег за вярващите, а за невярващите. А пророчеството не е за невярващите, а за вярващите.

If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

И така, ако се събере цялата църква и всички говорят на езици, и влязат хора неучени или невярващи, няма ли да кажат, че вие сте полудели?

But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

Но ако всички пророкуват и влезе някой невярващ или неучен, той се обвинява от всички и се осъжда от всички,

And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

тайните на сърцето му се откриват; и така, той ще падне на лицето си, ще се поклони пред Бога и ще изповяда, че Бог наистина е между вас.

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

Тогава, братя, какво става? Когато се събирате, всеки от вас има псалм, има поучение, има откровение, има език, има тълкуване. Всичко да става за изграждане.

If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

Ако някой говори на език, нека говорят по двама или най-много по трима, и то по ред, а един да тълкува.

But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

Но ако няма тълкувател, такъв нека да мълчи в църквата и нека говори на себе си и на Бога.

Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

От пророците нека говорят само двама или трима, а другите да преценяват.

If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

Но ако дойде откровение на някой друг от седящите, първият нека да замълчи.

For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

Защото можете да пророкувате всички един след друг, за да се поучават всички и всички да се насърчават.

And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

И духовете на пророците се покоряват на пророците.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Защото Бог не е Бог на безредие, а на мир. Както е по всичките църкви на светиите,

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

жените нека да мълчат в църквите, защото не им е позволено да говорят; а да се подчиняват, както казва и законът.

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Но ако искат да научат нещо, нека питат мъжете си у дома, защото е срамно за жена да говори в църква.

What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

Или Божието слово излезе от вас? Или стигна само до вас?

If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Ако някой мисли, че е пророк или духовен, нека узнае, че това, което ви пиша, е заповед от Господа.

But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

Но ако някой не иска да узнае, нека остане в незнание.

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

Затова, братя мои, копнейте да пророкувате и не забранявайте да се говори на езици.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

И нека всичко да става с приличие и ред.
