Job 26

तब अय्यूब ने कहा:

But Job answered and said,

“हे बिल्दद, सोपर और एलीपज जो लोग दुर्बल हैं तुम सचमुच उनको सहारा दे सकते हो। अरे हाँ! तुमने दुर्बल बाँहों को फिर से शक्तिशाली बनाया है।

How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

हाँ, तुमने निर्बुद्धि को अद्भुत सम्मत्ति दी है। कैसा महाज्ञान तुमने दिखाया है!

How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

इन बातों को कहने में किसने तुम्हारी सहायता की? किसकी आत्मा ने तुम को प्रेरणा दी?

To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

“जो लोग मर गये है उनकी आत्मायें धरती के नीचे जल में भय से प्रकंपित हैं।

Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

मृत्यु का स्थान परमेश्वर की आँखों के सामने खुला है, परमेश्वर के आगे विनाश का स्थान ढका नहीं है।

Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

उत्तर के नभ को परमेश्वर फैलाता है। परमेश्वर ने व्योम के रिक्त पर अधर में धरती लटकायी है।

He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

परमेश्वर बादलों को जल से भरता है, किन्तु जल के प्रभार से परमेश्वर बादलों को फटने नहीं देता है।

He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

परमेश्वर पूरे चन्द्रमा को ढकता है, परमेश्वर चाँद पर निज बादल फैलाता है और उसको ढक देता है।

He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

परमेश्वर क्षितिज को रचता है प्रकाश और अन्धकार की सीमा रेखा के रूप में समुद्र पर।

He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

जब परमेश्वर डाँटता है तो वे नीवें जिन पर आकाश टिका है भय से काँपने लगती है।

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

परमेश्वर की शक्ति सागर को शांत कर देती है। परमेश्वर की बुद्धि ने राहब (सागर के दैत्य) को नष्ट किया।

He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

परमेश्वर का श्वास नभ को साफ कर देता है। परमेश्वर के हाथ ने उस साँप को मार दिया जिसमें भाग जाने का यत्न किया था।

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

ये तो परमेश्वर के आश्चर्यकर्मों की थोड़ी सी बातें हैं। बस हम थोड़ा सा परमेश्वर के हल्की—ध्वनि भरे स्वर को सुनते हैं। किन्तु सचमुच कोई व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के शक्ति के गर्जन को नहीं समझ सकता है।”

Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
