Ezra 2

ואלה בני המדינה העלים משבי הגולה אשר הגלה נבוכדנצור מלך בבל לבבל וישובו לירושלם ויהודה איש לעירו׃

Dette var de menn fra landskapet Juda som drog hjem fra fangenskapet i det fremmede land - de som kongen i Babel Nebukadnesar hadde bortført til Babel, og som nu vendte tilbake til Jerusalem og Juda, hver til sin by,

אשר באו עם זרבבל ישוע נחמיה שריה רעליה מרדכי בלשן מספר בגוי רחום בענה מספר אנשי עם ישראל׃

de som fulgte med Serubabel, Josva, Nehemias, Seraja, Re'elaja, Mordekai, Bilsan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum og Ba'ana. - Dette var tallet på mennene av Israels folk:

בני פרעש אלפים מאה שבעים ושנים׃

Paros' barn, to tusen et hundre og to og sytti;

בני שפטיה שלש מאות שבעים ושנים׃

Sefatjas barn, tre hundre og to og sytti;

בני ארח שבע מאות חמשה ושבעים׃

Arahs barn, syv hundre og fem og sytti;

בני פחת מואב לבני ישוע יואב אלפים שמנה מאות ושנים עשר׃

Pahat-Moabs barn av Josvas og Joabs efterkommere, to tusen åtte hundre og tolv;

בני עילם אלף מאתים חמשים וארבעה׃

Elams barn, tusen to hundre og fire og femti;

בני זתוא תשע מאות וארבעים וחמשה׃

Sattus barn, ni hundre og fem og firti;

בני זכי שבע מאות וששים׃

Sakkais barn, syv hundre og seksti;

בני בני שש מאות ארבעים ושנים׃

Banis barn, seks hundre og to og firti;

בני בבי שש מאות עשרים ושלשה׃

בני עזגד אלף מאתים עשרים ושנים׃

בני אדניקם שש מאות ששים וששה׃

אנשי ענתות מאה עשרים ושמנה׃

Anatots menn, hundre og åtte og tyve;

בני עזמות ארבעים ושנים׃

Asmavets barn, to og firti;

בני קרית ערים כפירה ובארות שבע מאות וארבעים ושלשה׃

Kirjat-Arims, Kefiras og Be'erots barn, syv hundre og tre og firti;

בני הרמה וגבע שש מאות עשרים ואחד׃

אנשי מכמס מאה עשרים ושנים׃

בני עילם אחר אלף מאתים חמשים וארבעה׃

בני חרם שלש מאות ועשרים׃

Harims barn, tre hundre og tyve;

בני לד חדיד ואונו שבע מאות עשרים וחמשה׃

Lods, Hadids og Onos barn, syv hundre og fem og tyve;

בני ירחו שלש מאות ארבעים וחמשה׃

Jerikos barn, tre hundre og fem og firti;

בני סנאה שלשת אלפים ושש מאות ושלשים׃

Sena'as barn, tre tusen og seks hundre og tretti.

הכהנים בני ידעיה לבית ישוע תשע מאות שבעים ושלשה׃

Av prestene: Jedajas barn av Josvas hus, ni hundre og tre og sytti;

בני אמר אלף חמשים ושנים׃

Immers barn, tusen og to og femti;

בני פשחור אלף מאתים ארבעים ושבעה׃

Pashurs barn, tusen to hundre og syv og firti;

בני חרם אלף ושבעה עשר׃

Harims barn, tusen og sytten.

הלוים בני ישוע וקדמיאל לבני הודויה שבעים וארבעה׃

Av levittene: Josvas og Kadmiels barn av Hodavjas efterkommere, fire og sytti.

המשררים בני אסף מאה עשרים ושמנה׃

Av sangerne: Asafs barn, hundre og åtte og tyve.

בני השערים בני שלום בני אטר בני טלמון בני עקוב בני חטיטא בני שבי הכל מאה שלשים ותשעה׃

Av dørvokternes barn: Sallums barn, Aters barn, Talmons barn, Akkubs barn, Hatitas barn, Sobais barn - i alt hundre og ni og tretti.

הנתינים בני ציחא בני חשופא בני טבעות׃

Av tempeltjenerne: Sihas barn, Hasufas barn, Tabbaots barn,

בני קרס בני סיעהא בני פדון׃

Keros' barn, Siahas barn, Padons barn,

בני לבנה בני חגבה בני עקוב׃

Lebanas barn, Hagabas barn, Akkubs barn,

בני חגב בני שמלי בני חנן׃

Hagabs barn, Samlais barn, Hanans barn,

בני גדל בני גחר בני ראיה׃

Giddels barn, Gahars barn, Reajas barn,

בני רצין בני נקודא בני גזם׃

Resins barn, Nekodas barn, Gassams barn,

בני עזא בני פסח בני בסי׃

Ussas barn, Paseahs barn, Besais barn,

בני אסנה בני מעונים בני נפיסים׃

Asnas barn, Me'unims barn, Nefisims barn,

בני בקבוק בני חקופא בני חרחור׃

Bakbuks barn, Hakufas barn, Harhurs barn,

בני בצלות בני מחידא בני חרשא׃

Basluts barn, Mehidas barn, Harsas barn,

בני ברקוס בני סיסרא בני תמח׃

Barkos' barn, Siseras barn, Tamahs barn,

בני נציח בני חטיפא׃

Nesiahs barn, Hatifas barn.

בני עבדי שלמה בני סטי בני הספרת בני פרודא׃

Av Salomos tjeneres barn: Sotais barn, Hassoferets barn, Perudas barn,

בני יעלה בני דרקון בני גדל׃

Ja'alas barn, Darkons barn, Giddels barn,

בני שפטיה בני חטיל בני פכרת הצביים בני אמי׃

Sefatjas barn, Hattils barn, Pokeret-Hasseba'ims barn, Amis barn.

כל הנתינים ובני עבדי שלמה שלש מאות תשעים ושנים׃

Alle tempeltjenerne og Salomos tjeneres barn var tilsammen tre hundre og to og nitti.

ואלה העלים מתל מלח תל חרשא כרוב אדן אמר ולא יכלו להגיד בית אבותם וזרעם אם מישראל הם׃

Og dette var de som drog hjem fra Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Kerub, Addan og Immer, men ikke kunde opgi sin familie og sin ætt, eller om de var av Israel:

בני דליה בני טוביה בני נקודא שש מאות חמשים ושנים׃

og av prestenes barn: Habajas barn, Hakkos' barn, Barsillais barn, han som hadde tatt en av gileaditten Barsillais døtre til hustru og var blitt opkalt efter dem.

אלה בקשו כתבם המתיחשים ולא נמצאו ויגאלו מן הכהנה׃

Disse lette efter sine ættelister, men de fantes ingensteds opskrevet; de blev da utelukket fra prestedømmet som uverdige dertil,

ויאמר התרשתא להם אשר לא יאכלו מקדש הקדשים עד עמד כהן לאורים ולתמים׃

og stattholderen sa til dem at de ikke skulde ete av det høihellige, før det fremstod en prest med urim og tummim.

כל הקהל כאחד ארבע רבוא אלפים שלש מאות ששים׃

Hele menigheten var i alt to og firti tusen tre hundre og seksti

מלבד עבדיהם ואמהתיהם אלה שבעת אלפים שלש מאות שלשים ושבעה ולהם משררים ומשררות מאתים׃

foruten deres tjenere og tjenestepiker, som var syv tusen tre hundre og syv og tretti. De hadde også med sig to hundre sangere og sangerinner.

סוסיהם שבע מאות שלשים וששה פרדיהם מאתים ארבעים וחמשה׃

De hadde syv hundre og seks og tretti hester, to hundre og fem og firti mulesler,

גמליהם ארבע מאות שלשים וחמשה חמרים ששת אלפים שבע מאות ועשרים׃

fire hundre og fem og tretti kameler og seks tusen syv hundre og tyve asener.

ומראשי האבות בבואם לבית יהוה אשר בירושלם התנדבו לבית האלהים להעמידו על מכונו׃

Nogen av familiehodene gav, da de kom til Herrens hus i Jerusalem, frivillige gaver til Guds hus, så det kunde gjenreises på sitt gamle sted;

ככחם נתנו לאוצר המלאכה זהב דרכמונים שש רבאות ואלף וכסף מנים חמשת אלפים וכתנת כהנים מאה׃

efter sin evne gav de til arbeidskassen: en og seksti tusen dariker i gull og fem tusen miner i sølv; dessuten hundre prestekjortler.

וישבו הכהנים והלוים ומן העם והמשררים והשוערים והנתינים בעריהם וכל ישראל בעריהם׃

Både prestene og levittene og nogen av det menige folk og sangerne og dørvokterne og tempeltjenerne bosatte sig i sine byer, og hele Israel ellers bodde i sine byer.
