Job 26

ایوب نے جواب دے کر کہا،

But Job answered and said,

”واہ جی واہ! تُو نے کیا خوب اُسے سہارا دیا جو بےبس ہے، کیا خوب اُس بازو کو مضبوط کر دیا جو بےطاقت ہے!

How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

تُو نے اُسے کتنے اچھے مشورے دیئے جو حکمت سے محروم ہے، اپنی سمجھ کی کتنی گہری باتیں اُس پر ظاہر کی ہیں۔

How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

تُو نے کس کی مدد سے یہ کچھ پیش کیا ہے؟ کس نے تیری روح میں وہ باتیں ڈالیں جو تیرے منہ سے نکل آئی ہیں؟

To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

اللہ کے سامنے وہ تمام مُردہ ارواح جو پانی اور اُس میں رہنے والوں کے نیچے بستی ہیں ڈر کے مارے تڑپ اُٹھتی ہیں۔

Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

ہاں، اُس کے سامنے پاتال برہنہ اور اُس کی گہرائیاں بےنقاب ہیں۔

Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

اللہ ہی نے شمال کو ویران و سنسان جگہ کے اوپر تان لیا، اُسی نے زمین کو یوں لگا دیا کہ وہ کسی بھی چیز سے نہیں لٹکتی۔

He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

اُس نے اپنے بادلوں میں پانی لپیٹ لیا، لیکن وہ بوجھ تلے نہ پھٹے۔

He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

اُس نے اپنا تخت نظروں سے چھپا کر اپنا بادل اُس پر چھا جانے دیا۔

He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

اُس نے پانی کی سطح پر دائرہ بنایا جو روشنی اور اندھیرے کے درمیان حد بن گیا۔

He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

آسمان کے ستون لرز اُٹھے۔ اُس کی دھمکی پر وہ دہشت زدہ ہوئے۔

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

اپنی قدرت سے اللہ نے سمندر کو تھما دیا، اپنی حکمت سے رہب اژدہے کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دیا۔

He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

اُس کے روح نے آسمان کو صاف کیا، اُس کے ہاتھ نے فرار ہونے والے سانپ کو چھید ڈالا۔

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

لیکن ایسے کام اُس کی راہوں کے کنارے پر ہی کئے جاتے ہیں۔ جو کچھ ہم اُس کے بارے میں سنتے ہیں وہ دھیمی دھیمی آواز سے ہمارے کان تک پہنچتا ہے۔ تو پھر کون اُس کی قدرت کی کڑکتی آواز سمجھ سکتا ہے؟“

Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
