Galatians 5

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Stójcie tedy w tej wolności, którą nas Chrystus wolnymi uczynił, a nie poddawajcie się znowu pod jarzmo niewoli.

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

Oto ja Paweł mówię wam, iż jeźli się obrzezywać będziecie, Chrystus wam nic nie pomoże.

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

A oświadczam się zasię przed każdym człowiekiem, który się obrzezuje, iż powinien wszystek zakon pełnić.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Pozbawiliście się Chrystusa, którzykolwiek się przez zakon usprawiedliwiacie; wypadliście z łaski.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Albowiem my duchem z wiary nadziei sprawiedliwości oczekujemy.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Bo w Chrystusie Jezusie ani obrzezka nic nie waży, ani nieobrzezka, ale wiara przez miłość skuteczna;

Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

Bieżeliście dobrze; któż wam przeszkodził, abyście nie byli posłusznymi prawdzie?

This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

Ta namowa nie jestci z tego, który was powołuje.

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Trochę kwasu wszystko zaczynienie zakwasza.

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

Ja mam nadzieję o was w Panu, iż nic inszego rozumieć nie będziecie; a ten, który was turbuje, odniesie sąd, ktokolwiek jest.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

A ja, bracia! jeźli jeszcze obrzezkę każę, czemuż jeszcze prześladowanie cierpię? Toć tedy zniszczone jest zgorszenie krzyżowe.

I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

Bodajże i odjęci byli, którzy wam niepokój czynią.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Albowiem wy ku wolności powołani jesteście, bracia! tylko pod zasłoną tej wolności ciału nie pozwalajcie, ale z miłości służcie jedni drugim.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Bo wszystek zakon w jednem się słowie zamyka, to jest w tem: Będziesz miłował bliźniego twego jako samego siebie.

But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

Ale jeźli jedni drugich kąsacie i pożeracie, patrzajcież, abyście jedni od drugich nie byli strawieni.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

A to mówię: Duchem postępujcie, a pożądliwości ciała nie wykonywajcie.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Albowiem ciało pożąda przeciwko duchowi, a duch przeciwko ciału; a te rzeczy są sobie przeciwne, abyście nie to, co chcecie, czynili.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Lecz jeźli duchem bywacie prowadzeni, nie jesteście pod zakonem.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

A jawneć są uczynki ciała, które te są: Cudzołóstwo, wszeteczeństwo, nieczystość, rozpusta,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Bałwochwalstwo, czary, nieprzyjaźni, swary, nienawiści, gniewy, spory, niesnaski, kacerstwa,

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Zazdrości, mężobójstwa, pijaństwa, biesiady, i tym podobne rzeczy, o których przepowiadam wam, jakom i przedtem powiedział, iż którzy takowe rzeczy czynią, królestwa Bożego nie odziedziczą.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Ale owoc Ducha jest miłość, wesele, pokój, nieskwapliwość, dobrotliwość, dobroć, wiara, cichość, wstrzemięźliwość.

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Przeciwko takowym nie masz zakonu.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Albowiem którzy są Chrystusowi, ciało swoje ukrzyżowali z namiętnościami i z pożądliwościami.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Jeźli duchem żyjemy, duchem też postępujmy.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Nie bądźmy chciwi próżnej chwały, jedni drugich wyzywając, jedni drugim zajrząc.
