Psalms 9

خداوندا، با تمامی دل تو را شکر می‌کنم و کارهای عالی تو را به همه خواهم گفت.

I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

در تو خوشحال و شادمان خواهم بود و نام تو را ای متعال، خواهم سرایید.

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

وقتی‌که دشمنانم عقب‌نشینی کنند، در پیشگاه تو به زمین افتاده هلاک خواهند شد.

When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

تو مرا با امانت و انصاف داوری کرده‌ای و عادلانه بر جایگاه داوری نشسته‌ای.

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

ملل جهان را سرزنش نموده، مردمان بدکار را از بین برده‌ای، و نامشان را برای ابد محو کرده‌ای.

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

دشمنان برای همیشه نابود شدند، و شهرهایشان را به خرابه تبدیل کردی که حتّی یادی از آنها باقی نماند.

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

امّا خداوند همیشه پادشاه است، او تخت خود را برای داوری برقرار نموده است.

But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

او جهان را با عدالت و امّتها را با انصاف داوری می‌نماید.

And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

خداوند پناه مظلومان، و جایگاه امن در هنگام سختی‌هاست. خداوندا،

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

آنانی که تو را می‌شناسند، بر تو توکّل می‌کنند، زیرا تو ای خداوند، طالبان خود را ترک نکرده‌ای.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

سرود ستایش خداوند را، که در صهیون سلطنت می‌کند، بسرایید. کارهای او را به همهٔ ملتّها اعلام کنید.

Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

او از قاتلان انتقام می‌گیرد، و فریاد رنجدیدگان را فراموش نمی‌کند.

When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.

ای خداوند، ببین دشمنانم چگونه مرا عذاب می‌دهند؛ بر من رحم کن، و مرا از مرگ رهایی ده.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

تا من در حضور مردم اورشلیم به‌خاطر نجات خود، تو را ستایش کنم و شادی نمایم.

That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

کافران در چاهی که برای دیگران کنده‌بودند، افتادند و در دامی که برای دیگران گذاشته‌ بودند، گرفتار شدند.

The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

خداوند با داوری عادلانهٔ خویش، خود را آشكار نموده است، و بدکاران، در دام خودشان گرفتار شده‌اند.

The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

شریران و همهٔ اقوامی که خدا را فراموش کرده‌اند، به هلاکت می‌رسند.

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

نیازمندان فراموش نمی‌شوند، و امید مسکینان از بین نمی‌رود.

For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

ای خداوند برخیز و کافران را داوری کن، تا انسان فانی پیروز نگردد.

Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

خداوندا، آنها را بترسان و به آنان بفهمان که انسانها‌یی فانی هستند.

Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
