Deuteronomy 1

Това са думите, които Мойсей говори на целия Израил отсам Йордан, в пустинята, в равнината, срещу Суф, между Фаран и Тофол, и Лаван, и Асирот, и Дизаав.

These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

Единадесет дни път са от Хорив по пътя на планината Сиир до Кадис-Варни.

(There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadesh–barnea.)

И в четиридесетата година, в единадесетия месец, на първия ден от месеца, Мойсей говори на израилевите синове според всичко, което ГОСПОД му заповяда за тях,

And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

след като беше разбил аморейския цар Сион, който живееше в Есевон, и васанския цар Ог, който живееше в Астарот и в Едраи.

After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:

Отсам Йордан, в моавската земя, Мойсей започна да обяснява този закон и каза:

On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

ГОСПОД, нашият Бог, ни говори на Хорив и каза: Достатъчно стояхте на тази планина.

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

Обърнете се и тръгнете, и идете към хълмистата земя на аморейците и към всичките им съседи в равнината, в хълмистата земя и в низината, на юг и към крайбрежието, в земята на ханаанците, и към Ливан, до голямата река, реката Ефрат.

Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

Ето, Аз предавам земята пред вас; влезте и завладейте земята, за която ГОСПОД се закле на бащите ви — на Авраам, Исаак и Яков — да я даде на тях и на потомството им след тях.

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

И аз ви говорих в онова време и казах: Аз не мога да ви нося сам.

And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, ви умножи и ето, днес вие сте като звездите на небето по множество.

The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

ГОСПОД, Бог на бащите ви, да ви умножи хиляда пъти повече, отколкото сте сега, и да ви благослови, така както ви е обещал!

(The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)

Как бих могъл аз сам да нося тежестта ви, товара ви и караниците ви?

How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?

Изберете мъдри и разумни, и известни мъже отсред племената си и аз ще ги поставя над вас като началници.

Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.

И вие ми отговорихте и ми казахте: Добро е това, което каза да направим.

And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.

И аз взех началниците на племената ви, мъдри и известни мъже, и ги поставих началници над вас — хилядници, стотници, петдесетници, десетници и надзорници на племената ви.

So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.

И заповядах на съдиите ви в онова време и казах: Изслушвайте жалбите между братята си и съдете според правдата между човек и брат му или чужденеца, който е при него.

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

Не показвайте пристрастие в съда; изслушвайте както малкия, така и големия; не се бойте от човек, защото съдът е на Бога. А делото, което е прекалено трудно за вас, донесете пред мен и аз ще го изслушвам.

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

И в онова време ви заповядах всичко, което трябва да вършите.

And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.

И тръгнахме от Хорив и минахме през цялата тази голяма и страшна пустиня, която видяхте по пътя към хълмистата земя на аморейците, както ГОСПОД, нашият Бог, ни заповяда, и дойдохме до Кадис-Варни.

And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh–barnea.

И аз ви казах: Вие дойдохте до хълмистата земя на аморейците, която ГОСПОД, нашият Бог, ни дава.

And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.

Ето, ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, предава земята пред теб; изкачи се и я завладей, както ти е говорил ГОСПОД, Бог на бащите ти. Не се бой и не се обезсърчавай.

Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.

Тогава всички вие дойдохте при мен и казахте: Да изпратим мъже пред нас, за да разузнаят за нас земята и да ни донесат известие за пътя, по който трябва да се изкачим, и за градовете, в които ще влезем.

And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.

И това беше добро в очите ми и аз взех дванадесет мъже от вас, по един мъж от всяко племе.

And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe:

И те тръгнаха и се изкачиха на планината, и дойдоха до долината Есхол, и я разузнаха.

And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out.

И взеха в ръцете си от плодовете на земята и ни донесоха; донесоха ни и известие и казаха: Земята, която ГОСПОД, нашият Бог, ни дава, е добра.

And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.

Обаче вие не пожелахте да се изкачите, а се разбунтувахте срещу заповедта на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог.

Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God:

И роптаехте в шатрите си и казвахте: Понеже ГОСПОД ни мрази, затова ни изведе от египетската земя, за да ни предаде в ръцете на аморейците, за да ни изтребят!

And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

Накъде да се изкачваме? Нашите братя обезсърчиха сърцата ни, като казаха: Народ по-голям и по-висок от нас, градове големи и укрепени до небето, а и синовете на енакимите видяхме там!

Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

Тогава аз ви казах: Не се ужасявайте и не се бойте от тях.

Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.

ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, който върви пред вас, Той ще се бие за вас, също както направи за вас в Египет пред очите ви,

The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

и в пустинята, където ти видя как ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, те носи, както човек носи сина си, през целия път, по който вървяхте, докато стигнахте на това място.

And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

Но във всичко това вие не повярвахте на ГОСПОДА, вашия Бог,

Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,

който вървеше пред вас по пътя, за да ви търси място, където да разполагате стан — нощем в огън, за да виждате пътя, по който вървите, а денем в облак.

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.

И ГОСПОД чу гласа на думите ви и се разгневи, и се закле, като каза:

And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,

Нито един от тези хора от това зло поколение няма да види добрата земя, която се заклех да дам на бащите ви,

Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,

освен Халев, синът на Ефоний; той ще я види, и на него и на синовете му ще дам земята, на която той стъпи, защото напълно последва ГОСПОДА.

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.

И на мен се разгневи ГОСПОД заради вас и каза: И ти няма да влезеш там.

Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.

Иисус, синът на Навий, който стои пред теб, той ще влезе там. Утвърди го, защото той ще раздели на Израил наследството.

But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

А децата ви, за които казахте, че ще бъдат разграбени, и синовете ви, които днес не познават добро и зло, те ще влязат там и на тях ще я дам, и те ще я притежават.

Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

А вие се върнете и тръгнете в пустинята по пътя за Червено море.

But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

Тогава вие отговорихте и ми казахте: Съгрешихме против ГОСПОДА; ще се изкачим и ще воюваме, както ни е заповядал ГОСПОД, нашият Бог. И препасахте всеки бойните си оръжия и лекомислено се изкачихте в хълмистата земя.

Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: Кажи им: Не се изкачвайте и не се бийте, защото Аз не съм между вас — да не бъдете разбити пред враговете си.

And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.

И аз ви говорих, но вие не пожелахте да слушате, а се разбунтувахте срещу ГОСПОДНАТА заповед и постъпихте дръзко, и се изкачихте на планината.

So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.

И аморейците, които живееха в онази хълмиста земя, излязоха против вас и ви гониха, както правят пчелите, и ви разпиляха от Сиир до Хорма.

And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.

Тогава вие се върнахте и плакахте пред ГОСПОДА, но ГОСПОД не послуша гласа ви и не даде ухо.

And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

И останахте в Кадис много дни, според дните, които останахте там.

So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.
