Psalms 116

116:1

مَیں رب سے محبت رکھتا ہوں، کیونکہ اُس نے میری آواز اور میری التجا سنی ہے۔

I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

116:2

اُس نے اپنا کان میری طرف جھکایا ہے، اِس لئے مَیں عمر بھر اُسے پکاروں گا۔

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

116:3

موت نے مجھے اپنی زنجیروں میں جکڑ لیا، اور پاتال کی پریشانیاں مجھ پر غالب آئیں۔ مَیں مصیبت اور دُکھ میں پھنس گیا۔

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

116:4

تب مَیں نے رب کا نام پکارا، ”اے رب، مہربانی کر کے مجھے بچا!“

Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

116:5

رب مہربان اور راست ہے، ہمارا خدا رحیم ہے۔

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

116:6

رب سادہ لوگوں کی حفاظت کرتا ہے۔ جب مَیں پست حال تھا تو اُس نے مجھے بچایا۔

The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

116:7

اے میری جان، اپنی آرام گاہ کے پاس واپس آ، کیونکہ رب نے تیرے ساتھ بھلائی کی ہے۔

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

116:8

کیونکہ اے رب، تُو نے میری جان کو موت سے، میری آنکھوں کو آنسو بہانے سے اور میرے پاؤں کو پھسلنے سے بچایا ہے۔

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

116:9

اب مَیں زندوں کی زمین میں رہ کر رب کے حضور چلوں گا۔

I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
