Job 12

Zatem odpowiedział Ijob i, rzekł:

And Job answered and said,

Wieraście wy sami ludźmi? i z wamiż umrze mądrość?

No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.

Teżci ja mam serce jako i wy, anim jest podlejszym niżeli wy; a któż i tego nie wie, co i wy?

But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?

Pośmiewiskiem jestem przyjacielowi memu, który gdy woła do Boga, ozywa mu się; naśmiewiskiem jest sprawiedliwy i doskonały.

I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

Ten, co jest upadku bliski, jest pochodnią wzgardzoną człowiekowi, według myśli pokoju zażywającemu.

He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.

Spokojne i bezpieczne są namioty zbójców tych, którzy draźnią Boga, którym Bóg daje w ręce dobre rzeczy.

The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.

A nawet pytaj się proszę bydląt, a one cię nauczą; i ptastwa niebieskiego, a oznajmi tobie.

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:

Albo się rozmów z ziemią, a ona cię nauczy, i rozpowiedząć ryby morskie.

Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.

Któż nie wie z tych wszystkich rzeczy, że to ręka Pańska sprawiła?

Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?

W którego ręku jest dusza wszelkiej rzeczy żywej, i duch wszelkiego ciała ludzkiego.

In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

Azaż nie ucho mowy doświadcza, jako usta pokarmu smakują?

Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?

W ludziach starych jest mądrość, a w długich dniach roztropność.

With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.

Dopieroż u Pana jest mądrość, i siła, i rada, i umiejętność.

With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.

Oto on burzy, a nikt nie zbuduje; zamknie człowieka, a nikt mu nie otworzy.

Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.

On gdy zatrzyma wody, wyschną; a gdy je wypuści, podwracają ziemię.

Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

U niego jest moc i mądrość. Jego jest błądzący, i w błąd zawodzący.

With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

On obiera radców z mądrości, a sędziów przywodzi do głupstwa.

He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.

On pas królów rozwiązuje, i znowu przepasuje pasem biodra ich.

He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.

Podaje książęta na łup, a mocarze podwraca.

He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

Odejmuje usta krasomówcom, a rozsądek starym odbiera.

He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.

Wylewa wzgardę na książęta, a mdli siły mocarzów.

He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.

On odkrywa głębokie rzeczy z ciemności, a wywodzi na jaśnię cień śmierci.

He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.

Rozmnaża narody, i wytraca je; rozszerza lud, i umniejsza go.

He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.

On odejmuje serca przełożonym ludu ziemi, a czyni, że błądzą po pustyni bezdrożnej;

He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.

Że macają w ciemnościach, gdzie nie masz światłości, a sprawuje, że błądzą jako pijani.

They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
