Psalms 94

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

اے رب، اے انتقام لینے والے خدا! اے انتقام لینے والے خدا، اپنا نور چمکا۔

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

اے دنیا کے منصف، اُٹھ کر مغروروں کو اُن کے اعمال کی مناسب سزا دے۔

LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

اے رب، بےدین کب تک، ہاں کب تک فتح کے نعرے لگائیں گے؟

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

وہ کفر کی باتیں اُگلتے رہتے، تمام بدکار شیخی مارتے رہتے ہیں۔

They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

اے رب، وہ تیری قوم کو کچل رہے، تیری موروثی ملکیت پر ظلم کر رہے ہیں۔

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

بیواؤں اور اجنبیوں کو وہ موت کے گھاٹ اُتار رہے، یتیموں کو قتل کر رہے ہیں۔

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

وہ کہتے ہیں، ”یہ رب کو نظر نہیں آتا، یعقوب کا خدا دھیان ہی نہیں دیتا۔“

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

اے قوم کے نادانو، دھیان دو! اے احمقو، تمہیں کب سمجھ آئے گی؟

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

جس نے کان بنایا، کیا وہ نہیں سنتا؟ جس نے آنکھ کو تشکیل دیا کیا وہ نہیں دیکھتا؟

He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

جو اقوام کو تنبیہ کرتا اور انسان کو تعلیم دیتا ہے کیا وہ سزا نہیں دیتا؟

The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

رب انسان کے خیالات جانتا ہے، وہ جانتا ہے کہ وہ دم بھر کے ہی ہیں۔

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

اے رب، مبارک ہے وہ جسے تُو تربیت دیتا ہے، جسے تُو اپنی شریعت کی تعلیم دیتا ہے

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

تاکہ وہ مصیبت کے دنوں سے آرام پائے اور اُس وقت تک سکون سے زندگی گزارے جب تک بےدینوں کے لئے گڑھا تیار نہ ہو۔

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

کیونکہ رب اپنی قوم کو رد نہیں کرے گا، وہ اپنی موروثی ملکیت کو ترک نہیں کرے گا۔

But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

فیصلے دوبارہ انصاف پر مبنی ہوں گے، اور تمام دیانت دار دل اُس کی پیروی کریں گے۔

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

کون شریروں کے سامنے میرا دفاع کرے گا؟ کون میرے لئے بدکاروں کا سامنا کرے گا؟

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

اگر رب میرا سہارا نہ ہوتا تو میری جان جلد ہی خاموشی کے ملک میں جا بستی۔

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

اے رب، جب مَیں بولا، ”میرا پاؤں ڈگمگانے لگا ہے“ تو تیر ی شفقت نے مجھے سنبھالا۔

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

جب تشویش ناک خیالات مجھے بےچین کرنے لگے تو تیری تسلیوں نے میری جان کو تازہ دم کیا۔

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

اے اللہ، کیا تباہی کی حکومت تیرے ساتھ متحد ہو سکتی ہے، ایسی حکومت جو اپنے فرمانوں سے ظلم کرتی ہے؟ ہرگز نہیں!

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

وہ راست باز کی جان لینے کے لئے آپس میں مل جاتے اور بےقصوروں کو قاتل ٹھہراتے ہیں۔

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

لیکن رب میرا قلعہ بن گیا ہے، اور میرا خدا میری پناہ کی چٹان ثابت ہوا ہے۔

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

وہ اُن کی ناانصافی اُن پر واپس آنے دے گا اور اُن کی شریر حرکتوں کے جواب میں اُنہیں تباہ کرے گا۔ رب ہمارا خدا اُنہیں نیست کرے گا۔
