Psalms 65

Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

داؤد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے گیت۔ اے اللہ، تُو ہی اِس لائق ہے کہ انسان کوہِ صیون پر خاموشی سے تیرے انتظار میں رہے، تیری تمجید کرے اور تیرے حضور اپنی مَنتیں پوری کرے۔

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

تُو دعاؤں کو سنتا ہے، اِس لئے تمام انسان تیرے حضور آتے ہیں۔

Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

گناہ مجھ پر غالب آ گئے ہیں، تُو ہی ہماری سرکش حرکتوں کو معاف کر۔

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

مبارک ہے وہ جسے تُو چن کر قریب آنے دیتا ہے، جو تیری بارگاہوں میں بس سکتا ہے۔ بخش دے کہ ہم تیرے گھر، تیری مُقدّس سکونت گاہ کی اچھی چیزوں سے سیر ہو جائیں۔

By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

اے ہماری نجات کے خدا، ہیبت ناک کاموں سے اپنی راستی قائم کر کے ہماری سن! کیونکہ تُو زمین کی تمام حدود اور دُوردراز سمندروں تک سب کی اُمید ہے۔

Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

تُو اپنی قدرت سے پہاڑوں کی مضبوط بنیادیں ڈالتا اور قوت سے کمربستہ رہتا ہے۔

Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

تُو متلاطم سمندروں کو تھما دیتا ہے، تُو اُن کی گرجتی لہروں اور اُمّتوں کا شور شرابہ ختم کر دیتا ہے۔

They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

دنیا کی انتہا کے باشندے تیرے نشانات سے خوف کھاتے ہیں، اور تُو طلوعِ صبح اور غروبِ آفتاب کو خوشی منانے دیتا ہے۔

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

تُو زمین کی دیکھ بھال کر کے اُسے پانی کی کثرت اور زرخیزی سے نوازتا ہے، چنانچہ اللہ کی ندی پانی سے بھری رہتی ہے۔ زمین کو یوں تیار کر کے تُو انسان کو اناج کی اچھی فصل مہیا کرتا ہے۔

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

تُو کھیت کی ریگھاریوں کو شرابور کر کے اُس کے ڈھیلوں کو ہموار کرتا ہے۔ تُو بارش کی بوچھاڑوں سے زمین کو نرم کر کے اُس کی فصلوں کو برکت دیتا ہے۔

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

تُو سال کو اپنی بھلائی کا تاج پہنا دیتا ہے، اور تیرے نقشِ قدم تیل کی فراوانی سے ٹپکتے ہیں۔

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

بیابان کی چراگاہیں تیل کی کثرت سے ٹپکتی ہیں، اور پہاڑیاں بھرپور خوشی سے ملبّس ہو جاتی ہیں۔

The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

سبزہ زار بھیڑبکریوں سے آراستہ ہیں، وادیاں اناج سے ڈھکی ہوئی ہیں۔ سب خوشی کے نعرے لگا رہے ہیں، سب گیت گا رہے ہیں!
