Nehemiah 12

Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

درجِ ذیل اُن اماموں اور لاویوں کی فہرست ہے جو زرُبابل بن سیالتی ایل اور یشوع کے ساتھ جلاوطنی سے واپس آئے۔ امام: سرایاہ، یرمیاہ، عزرا،

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

امریاہ، ملّوک، حطّوش،

Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

سکنیاہ، رحوم، مریموت،

Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,

عِدّو، جِنّتون، ابیاہ،

Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

میامین، معدیاہ، بِلجہ،

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,

سمعیاہ، یویریب، یدعیاہ،

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

سَلّو، عموق، خِلقیاہ، اور یدعیاہ۔ یہ یشوع کے زمانے میں اماموں اور اُن کے بھائیوں کے راہنما تھے۔

Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

لاوی: یشوع، بِنّوئی، قدمی ایل، سربیاہ، یہوداہ اور متنیاہ۔ متنیاہ اپنے بھائیوں کے ساتھ رب کے گھر میں حمد و ثنا کے گیت گانے میں راہنمائی کرتا تھا۔

Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.

بقبوقیاہ اور عُنّی اپنے بھائیوں کے ساتھ عبادت کے دوران اُن کے مقابل کھڑے ہوتے تھے۔

And Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,

امامِ اعظم یشوع کی اولاد: یشوع یویقیم کا باپ تھا، یویقیم اِلیاسب کا، اِلیاسب یویدع کا،

And Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.

یویدع یونتن کا، یونتن یدّوع کا۔

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

جب یویقیم امامِ اعظم تھا تو ذیل کے امام اپنے خاندانوں کے سرپرست تھے۔ سرایاہ کے خاندان کا مرایاہ، یرمیاہ کے خاندان کا حننیاہ،

Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

عزرا کے خاندان کا مسُلّام، امریاہ کے خاندان کا یوحنان،

Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

ملّوک کے خاندان کا یونتن، سبنیاہ کے خاندان کا یوسف،

Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

حارِم کے خاندان کا عدنا، مِرایوت کے خاندان کا خِلقی،

Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

عِدّو کے خاندان کا زکریاہ، جِنّتون کے خاندان کا مسُلّام،

Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;

ابیاہ کے خاندان کا زِکری، من یمین کے خاندان کا ایک آدمی، معدیاہ کے خاندان کا فِلطی،

Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

بِلجہ کے خاندان کا سموع، سمعیاہ کے خاندان کا یہونتن،

And of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

یویاریب کے خاندان کا متّنی، یدعیاہ کے خاندان کا عُزّی،

Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

سلّی کے خاندان کا قلّی، عموق کے خاندان کا عِبر،

Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.

خِلقیاہ کے خاندان کا حسبیاہ، یدعیاہ کے خاندان کا نتنی ایل۔

The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.

جب اِلیاسب، یویدع، یوحنان اور یدّوع امامِ اعظم تھے تو لاوی کے سرپرستوں کی فہرست تیار کی گئی اور اِسی طرح فارس کے بادشاہ دارا کے زمانے میں اماموں کے خاندانی سرپرستوں کی فہرست۔

The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

لاوی کے خاندانی سرپرستوں کے نام امامِ اعظم یوحنان بن اِلیاسب کے زمانے تک تاریخ کی کتاب میں درج کئے گئے۔

And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.

لاوی کے خاندانی سرپرست حسبیاہ، سربیاہ، یشوع، بِنّوئی اور قدمی ایل خدمت کے اُن گروہوں کی راہنمائی کرتے تھے جو رب کے گھر میں حمد و ثنا کے گیت گاتے تھے۔ اُن کے مقابل متنیاہ، بقبوقیاہ اور عبدیاہ اپنے گروہوں کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوتے تھے۔ گیت گاتے وقت کبھی یہ گروہ اور کبھی اُس کے مقابل کا گروہ گاتا تھا۔ سب کچھ اُس ترتیب سے ہوا جو مردِ خدا داؤد نے مقرر کی تھی۔ مسُلّام، طلمون اور عقّوب دربان تھے جو رب کے گھر کے دروازوں کے ساتھ واقع گوداموں کی پہرہ داری کرتے تھے۔

Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.

لاوی کے خاندانی سرپرست حسبیاہ، سربیاہ، یشوع، بِنّوئی اور قدمی ایل خدمت کے اُن گروہوں کی راہنمائی کرتے تھے جو رب کے گھر میں حمد و ثنا کے گیت گاتے تھے۔ اُن کے مقابل متنیاہ، بقبوقیاہ اور عبدیاہ اپنے گروہوں کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوتے تھے۔ گیت گاتے وقت کبھی یہ گروہ اور کبھی اُس کے مقابل کا گروہ گاتا تھا۔ سب کچھ اُس ترتیب سے ہوا جو مردِ خدا داؤد نے مقرر کی تھی۔ مسُلّام، طلمون اور عقّوب دربان تھے جو رب کے گھر کے دروازوں کے ساتھ واقع گوداموں کی پہرہ داری کرتے تھے۔

These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

یہ آدمی امامِ اعظم یویقیم بن یشوع بن یوصدق، نحمیاہ گورنر اور شریعت کے عالِم عزرا امام کے زمانے میں اپنی خدمت سرانجام دیتے تھے۔

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

فصیل کی مخصوصیت کے لئے پورے ملک کے لاویوں کو یروشلم بُلایا گیا تاکہ وہ خوشی منانے میں مدد کر کے حمد و ثنا کے گیت گائیں اور جھانجھ، ستار اور سرود بجائیں۔

And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;

گلوکار یروشلم کے گرد و نواح سے، نطوفاتیوں کے دیہات،

Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.

بیت جِلجال اور جِبع اور عزماوت کے علاقے سے آئے۔ کیونکہ گلوکاروں نے اپنی اپنی آبادیاں یروشلم کے ارد گرد بنائی تھیں۔

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

پہلے اماموں اور لاویوں نے اپنے آپ کو جشن کے لئے پاک صاف کیا، پھر اُنہوں نے عام لوگوں، دروازوں اور فصیل کو بھی پاک صاف کر دیا۔

Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

اِس کے بعد مَیں نے یہوداہ کے قبیلے کے بزرگوں کو فصیل پر چڑھنے دیا اور گلوکاروں کو شکرگزاری کے دو بڑے گروہوں میں تقسیم کیا۔ پہلا گروہ فصیل پر چلتے چلتے جنوب میں واقع کچرے کے دروازے کی طرف بڑھ گیا۔

And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,

اِن گلوکاروں کے پیچھے ہوسعیاہ یہوداہ کے آدھے بزرگوں کے ساتھ چلا

And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

جبکہ اِن کے پیچھے عزریاہ، عزرا، مسُلّام،

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

یہوداہ، بن یمین، سمعیاہ اور یرمیاہ چلے۔

And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:

آخری گروہ امام تھے جو تُرم بجاتے رہے۔ اِن کے پیچھے ذیل کے موسیقار آئے: زکریاہ بن یونتن بن سمعیاہ بن متنیاہ بن میکایاہ بن زکور بن آسف

And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.

اور اُس کے بھائی سمعیاہ، عزرایل، مِللی، جِللی، ماعی، نتنی ایل، یہوداہ اور حنانی۔ یہ آدمی مردِ خدا داؤد کے ساز بجاتے رہے۔ شریعت کے عالِم عزرا نے جلوس کی راہنمائی کی۔

And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.

چشمے کے دروازے کے پاس آ کر وہ سیدھے اُس سیڑھی پر چڑھ گئے جو یروشلم کے اُس حصے تک پہنچاتی ہے جو ’داؤد کا شہر‘ کہلاتا ہے۔ پھر داؤد کے محل کے پیچھے سے گزر کر وہ شہر کے مغرب میں واقع پانی کے دروازے تک پہنچ گئے۔

And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;

شکرگزاری کا دوسرا گروہ فصیل پر چلتے چلتے شمال میں واقع تنوروں کے بُرج اور ’موٹی دیوار‘ کی طرف بڑھ گیا، اور مَیں باقی لوگوں کے ساتھ اُس کے پیچھے ہو لیا۔

And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.

ہم افرائیم کے دروازے، یسانہ کے دروازے، مچھلی کے دروازے، حنن ایل کے بُرج، میا بُرج اور بھیڑ کے دروازے سے ہو کر محافظوں کے دروازے تک پہنچ گئے جہاں ہم رُک گئے۔

So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:

پھر شکرگزاری کے دونوں گروہ رب کے گھر کے پاس کھڑے ہو گئے۔ مَیں بھی بزرگوں کے آدھے حصے

And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

اور ذیل کے تُرم بجانے والے اماموں کے ساتھ رب کے گھر کے صحن میں کھڑا ہوا: اِلیاقیم، معسیاہ، من یمین، میکایاہ، اِلیوعینی، زکریاہ اور حننیاہ۔

And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

معسیاہ، سمعیاہ، اِلی عزر، عُزّی، یوحنان، ملکیاہ، عیلام اور عزر بھی ہمارے ساتھ تھے۔ گلوکار اِزرخیاہ کی راہنمائی میں حمد و ثنا کے گیت گاتے رہے۔

Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

اُس دن ذبح کی بڑی بڑی قربانیاں پیش کی گئیں، کیونکہ اللہ نے ہم سب کو بال بچوں سمیت بڑی خوشی دلائی تھی۔ خوشیوں کا اِتنا شور مچ گیا کہ اُس کی آواز دُوردراز علاقوں تک پہنچ گئی۔

And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.

اُس وقت کچھ آدمیوں کو اُن گوداموں کے نگران بنایا گیا جن میں ہدیئے، فصلوں کا پہلا پھل اور پیداوار کا دسواں حصہ محفوظ رکھا جاتا تھا۔ اُن میں شہروں کی فصلوں کا وہ حصہ جمع کرنا تھا جو شریعت نے اماموں اور لاویوں کے لئے مقرر کیا تھا۔ کیونکہ یہوداہ کے باشندے خدمت کرنے والے اماموں اور لاویوں سے خوش تھے

And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

جو اپنے خدا کی خدمت طہارت کے رسم و رواج سمیت اچھی طرح انجام دیتے تھے۔ رب کے گھر کے گلوکار اور دربان بھی داؤد اور اُس کے بیٹے سلیمان کی ہدایات کے مطابق ہی خدمت کرتے تھے۔

For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

کیونکہ داؤد اور آسف کے زمانے سے ہی گلوکاروں کے لیڈر اللہ کی حمد و ثنا کے گیتوں میں راہنمائی کرتے تھے۔

And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.

چنانچہ زرُبابل اور نحمیاہ کے دنوں میں تمام اسرائیل رب کے گھر کے گلوکاروں اور دربانوں کی روزانہ ضروریات پوری کرتا تھا۔ لاویوں کو وہ حصہ دیا جاتا جو اُن کے لئے مخصوص تھا، اور لاوی اُس میں سے اماموں کو وہ حصہ دیا کرتے تھے جو اُن کے لئے مخصوص تھا۔
