Psalms 26

Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

Av David.  Skaffa mig rätt, HERRE,  ty jag vandrar i ostrafflighet,  och jag förtröstar på HERREN utan att vackla.

Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

 Pröva mig, HERRE, och försök mig;  rannsaka mina njurar och mitt hjärta.

For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

 Ty din nåd är inför mina ögon,  och jag vandrar i din sanning.

I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

 Jag sitter icke hos lögnens män,  och med hycklare har jag icke min umgängelse.

I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

 Jag hatar de ondas församling,  och hos de ogudaktiga sitter jag icke.

I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

 Jag tvår mina händer i oskuld,  och kring ditt altare, HERRE, vill jag vandra,

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

 för att höja min röst till tacksägelse  och förtälja alla dina under.

LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

 HERRE, jag har din boning kär  och den plats där din härlighet bor.

Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

 Ryck icke min själ bort med syndare,  icke mitt liv med de blodgiriga,

In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

 i vilkas händer är skändlighet,  och vilkas högra hand är full av mutor.

But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

 Jag vandrar ju i ostrafflighet;  förlossa mig och var mig nådig.

My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

 Ja, min fot står på jämn mark;  i församlingarna skall jag lova HERREN.
