Psalms 85

LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

خداوندا، تو بر سرزمین خود رحمت کرده‌ای، بنی‌اسرائیل را دوباره کامیاب ساخته‌ای.

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

گناهان قوم خود را بخشیده‌ای و خطاهای ایشان را عفو فرموده‌ای.

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

از غضب خود دست کشیدی و آتش خشمت را فرو نشاندی.

Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

ای خدای نجات بخش ما، ما را دوباره به حضور خود بپذیر و بر ما خشمگین مباش.

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

آیا همیشه بر ما غضبناک می‌باشی؟ آیا هرگز از خشم خود دست برنمی‌داری؟

Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

آیا نمی‌خواهی که قدرت و نیروی ما را به ما بازگردانی، تا ما که قوم تو هستیم در تو شادی کنیم؟

Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

خداوندا، ما را از محبّت پایدارت برخوردار گردان و به ما کمکی نجات بخش فرما.

I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

من به آنچه خداوند می‌گوید گوش می‌دهم، زیرا او به ما، به قوم خود وعدهٔ صلح می‌دهد، اگر ما دوباره به راههای احمقانهٔ خود بر نگردیم.

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

یقیناً او کسانی‌که وی را احترام می‌کنند، نجات خواهد داد و سرزمین ما از برکات و جلال او بهره‌مند می‌شود.

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

محبّت پایدار و وفاداری با هم ملاقات خواهند کرد و صلح و عدالت یکدیگر را در آغوش خواهند کشید.

Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

وفاداری از زمین خواهد رویید و عدالت از آسمان بر زمین خواهد نگریست.

Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

خداوند، ما را کامیاب خواهد ساخت و سرزمین ما را حاصلخیز خواهد گردانید.

Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

عدالت پیشاپیش خداوند حرکت خواهد كرد و راه را برای او آماده خواهد ساخت.
