John 17

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

To Isus doreče, a onda podiže oči k nebu i progovori: "Oče, došao je čas: proslavi Sina svoga da Sin proslavi tebe

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

i da vlašću koju si mu dao nad svakim tijelom dade život vječni svima koje si mu dao.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

A ovo je život vječni: da upoznaju tebe, jedinoga istinskog Boga, i koga si poslao - Isusa Krista.

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Ja tebe proslavih na zemlji dovršivši djelo koje si mi dao izvršiti.

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

A sada ti, Oče, proslavi mene kod sebe onom slavom koju imadoh kod tebe prije negoli je svijeta bilo.

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

Objavio sam ime tvoje ljudima koje si mi dao od svijeta. Tvoji bijahu, a ti ih meni dade i riječ su tvoju sačuvali.

Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

Sad upoznaše da je od tebe sve što si mi dao

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

jer riječi koje si mi dao njima predadoh i oni ih primiše i uistinu spoznaše da sam od tebe izišao te povjerovaše da si me ti poslao.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Ja za njih molim; ne molim za svijet, nego za one koje si mi dao jer su tvoji.

And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

I sve moje tvoje je, i tvoje moje, i ja se proslavih u njima.

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Ja više nisam u svijetu, no oni su u svijetu, a ja idem k tebi. Oče sveti, sačuvaj ih u svom imenu koje si mi dao: da budu jedno kao i mi.

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Dok sam ja bio s njima, ja sam ih čuvao u tvom imenu, njih koje si mi dao; i štitio ih, te nijedan od njih ne propade osim sina propasti, da se Pismo ispuni.

And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

A sada k tebi idem i ovo govorim u svijetu da imaju puninu moje radosti u sebi.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Ja sam im predao tvoju riječ, a svijet ih zamrzi jer nisu od svijeta kao što ni ja nisam od svijeta.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Ne molim te da ih uzmeš sa svijeta, nego da ih očuvaš od Zloga.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Oni nisu od svijeta kao što ni ja nisam od svijeta.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Posveti ih u istini: tvoja je riječ istina.

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Kao što ti mene posla u svijet tako i ja poslah njih u svijet.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

I za njih posvećujem samog sebe da i oni budu posvećeni u istini.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Ne molim samo za ove nego i za one koji će na njihovu riječ vjerovati u mene:

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

da svi budu jedno kao što ti, Oče, u meni i ja u tebi, neka i oni u nama budu da svijet uzvjeruje da si me ti poslao.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

I slavu koju si ti dao meni ja dadoh njima: da budu jedno kao što smo mi jedno -

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

ja u njima i ti u meni, da tako budu savršeno jedno da svijet upozna da si me ti poslao i ljubio njih kao što si mene ljubio.

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Oče, hoću da i oni koje si mi dao budu gdje sam ja, da i oni budu sa mnom: da gledaju moju slavu, slavu koju si mi dao jer si me ljubio prije postanka svijeta.

O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

Oče pravedni, svijet te nije upoznao, ja te upoznah; a i ovi upoznaše da si me ti poslao.

And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

I njima sam očitovao tvoje ime, i još ću očitovati, da ljubav kojom si ti mene ljubio bude u njima - i ja u njima."
